Tucker Carlson gave Russian President Vladimir Putin a megaphone when Carlson demonized the idea of giving Ukraine aid to defend itself against Russia, Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell said during a press briefing. McConnell trolled Carlson about his February interview with Putin in Russia which was widely panned as fawning. Even Putin said he was disappointed that Carlson didn't ask him tough questions.

I honestly can't believe how many here actually listen to Surrender Monkey Carlson. It truly reduces the respect I have had for some posters here.

Tucker Carlson is a POS. But I think it's utterly rational that Carlson didn't rake Putin over the coals in Mother Russia. What with the tea and open windows and all ...

That's not backbone Mitch is displaying--it's a toothpick found at the cashier's stand at the Senate cafeteria...

He did. Actually, more than once. But he got better.

If only Mitch would come out and sing out the truth of his last eight years and how he helped this version of the republican party try to dismantle the country just to stay in power. I mean, both sides pretty much hate him. Why not go out in a blaze of glory.

McChinless is a lying weasel.

He had a chance twice to end all this baloney and he chose his own power over his duty.

He cannot slither off into the home fast enough.

When did weapons become aid? Just call them weapons or killing machines. Warmongers have to war.

Too Right Wing for McConnell, WOW Tucker wow...

Had Tucker even a modicum of self-awareness he would have backed offa his Russia With Love stuff after Vlad screwed him every way possible in that interview.

Apparently the Base's ratings are like, I dunno... Vasoline?

Tucker certainly didn't get the State Dinner reception he expected in Moscow. Mr. Putin treated him like the traitor that he is. Mr. Putin doesn't like traitor either.

"When did weapons become aid?"

Since Putin violated:
"The Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances comprises three substantially identical political agreements signed at the OSCE conference in Budapest, Hungary, on 5 December 1994, to provide security assurances by its signatories relating to the accession of Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukraine to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). The three memoranda were originally signed by three nuclear powers: Russia, the United States and the United Kingdom.[1] China and France gave somewhat weaker individual assurances in separate documents."

"What do you want Ukraine to defend itself with? Hugs and kisses?" They gave up nukes. They have weapons. Why does the US need to arm the globe?

"Three decades ago, Ukraine inherited"and subsequently relinquished"what was, at the time, the world's third-largest nuclear arsenal" They are fools.

You sort of answered your own question. They gave up those nukes because they received promises that their territorial integrity would be honored. If the West lets Ukraine fall, why would any other nation ever give up their nukes in the future?

It used to be that nuclear disarmament was something liberals wanted to see happen. So now you want to fault a nation for actually doing it?

Bingo!

@#17 ... They are fools. ..

Specifically, why do you think they (i.e., Ukraine) are fools?

Maybe because they believed that if they gave up nuclear weapons, that Russia would not invade and annex them?

Is that why you think they are fools?
