Trump is going to win so hard in November. And after he gives carte blanche to Israel to "finish it" in Gaza, Jared Kushner can get started on that waterfront resort he was going on about. Should be beautiful!

These weren't protests. These were marches in favor of the elimination of the Jewish state.

No, you all took to the streets under the mistaken impression that Israel was going to be guilted into surrendering. To people who have sworn to kill each and every Jew. Didn't turn out as you planned, though, did it?

"finish what Hitler started"

Jews were being rounded up and massacred long before Hitler's grandmother's grandmother was born.

Perhaps that explains why the folly of nation-building didn't seem like folly to so many European Jews.

"damage to civilians be disproportionate."

Edited for IDF strategy of Collective Punishment which is a war crime under the Geneva Conventions.

The Dahiya doctrine, or Dahya doctrine,[1] is a military strategy involving the destruction of civilian infrastructure in order to pressure hostile regimes.[2] It is a type of asymmetric warfare. It endorses the employment of "disproportionate force" (compared to the amount of force used by the enemy[3][4]) to secure that end.[5] The doctrine was outlined by former Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of General Staff Gadi Eizenkot.

"It would seem that 30k to 1200 would be disproportionate enough, even to rabid rwingers."

Not necessarily.

Proportionality is related directly to military necessity. If a belligerent occupies a protected entity-something with no military function-it automatically loses its protected status and is considered a valid military target.

The Geneva Conventions require that belligerents act in such a manner as to minimize the effects of war on the civilian population. That's never 100% possible, but Hamas does not appear to even attempt to adhere to the GC. In fact they seem to be trying to leverage the civilian population as a tool they can use in their favor.

Following the strike on the World Central Kitchen convoy in March and threats by the Biden administration to retract support for Israel's Gaza campaign, Israeli authorities reported dramatically increased numbers of trucks entering the Strip every day, an effort that Washington has acknowledged.

You can understand that, right?

That Israel reacted to Biden's threat to allow more humanitarian aid by IMMEDIATELY increasing aid 4 fold. Meaning they were preventing aid from getting in, meaning they ARE intentionally starving the Palestinians.

What is the connection between attacking Palestinian civilians and defending Israel from Hamas?

POSTED BY SNOOFY

The connection seems to be the cowardice of Hamas Terrorists who after "bravely" sneak attacking Israel then ran home and hid in tunnels under hospitals and behind civilian human shields (which includes women children and Israeli hostages).

Interesting (but cowardly) tactic and quite a dilemma. If you let it be so.

Israel decided not to let that stop them from counter attacking and trying to prevent it from ever happening again.

"The U.S. post-9/11 wars in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and Pakistan have taken a tremendous human toll on those countries. As of September 2021, an estimated 432,093 civilians in these countries have died violent deaths as a result of the wars. As of May 2023, an estimated 3.6-3.8 million people have died indirectly in post-9/11 war zones. The total death toll in these war zones could be at least 4.5-4.7 million and counting, though the precise mortality figure remains unknown. Civilian deaths have also resulted from U.S. post-9/11 military operations in Somalia and other countries."

Like I said, you can disagree with Israel methods but Israelis are slackers compared to America.

Israel is reacting so Disproportionately because they got shown how vulnerable they really are.

It's like they thought they had everything under control, That the total domination of the Palestinians was a closed system and they could just ignore them while they slowly rotted away. That the decades of theft and murder were something the Palestinians and the world would just ignore and forget.

Clearly they were wrong about that. Also wrong about Iran's ability to resist their "surgical" strikes on their People. The Iranians scared them --------, all the talk about how ineffective the Iranian response was is just BS to reassure themselves. The fact is the American military stopped most of that attack not the IDF. That's got to be humiliating.

Israel is losing the initiative. They know it. This makes them more dangerous to the rest of the world than ever.

Perhaps paying reparations to the people they have Dispossessed of their legal property would be a start. Stopping illegal home demolitions would help to make the Palestinians believe in rule of law.

Actually enforcing laws against Theft and Murders committed by Jews against Palestinians would also strengthen the perception of equal protection under the law. Ending the settlements and actually respecting the property right of Palestinians could actually bring Peace.

We all know none of these common sense things will ever happen. It would mean the Zionists admitting to crimes they think are not crimes at all, but "necessities".

Zionists are like the American settlers in the 19th century. Palestinian's aren't even Human to them. Everyone talks about Israel's "right to exist",but the only people who have their right to exist being actively destroyed are the people of Gaza and the West Bank.

It's Projection of their own motives onto others.

So when the tables are turned they should expect no humanity from their enemies. They created this themselves. It makes a war of Extermination seem more reasonable to them.

The Americans are enabling the terrible crimes because they are guilty of equally horrible crimes themselves for even less reason.

Do you think that might have something to do with Hamas confiscating UN food shipments that were be provided by different agencies. Packing it away in tunnels for their use of their leaders and personnel?

Even now, the west could deliver tons off food each day. Can demand it be given to them. The US has no real authority to deny them, nor do they have a mandate to use force to protect or distribute the food. And if they did, I'm sure we'd be hearing how bad that was as well. Like Somalia in 1992.

Why would you need to kill children to feel safe?

Maybe onesie-twosies here and there...the ones whose associates strapped a suicide vest on them. Otherwise, children don't seem like they would often be seen as valid military target.

That said, the people and facilities who are valid military targets have been stuffed with kids. By Hamas. Which either serves as a deterrent to strike or gives the Palestinian militants to claim that children are being targeted. And it's a compelling argument, maybe, to those who don't understand how targeting works.

Closer to 80%.

The polls reported 80% in favor of Hamas.

They must all die.

They could have started by trying to negotiate a release for the hostages.

They could have tried using the intelligence they were provided to prevent the attack.

They could have used a more responsible approach to combating Hamas than carpet bombing all of Gaza. Especially in areas they knew where mostly civilians.

They could stop stealing land in the West Bank.

They could support a two state solution, which would have eliminated the power Hamas has.

There's so much Israel could have done.

But that was never the plan. The plan is for resorts along the Mediterranean, in the area once known as Gaza.

The Palestinians are just in the way.

You go ahead and negotiate with terrorists after they come rape and slaughter 1,200 of your civilian men, women, and children. And then don't act surprised when they turn it into a yearly holiday.

Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel, as it has those who came before, and 70% of Palestinians are A-OK with that:
"Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it."
Hamas Charter, 1988

This ideas that Palestinians are willing to live-and-let-live are just Western pipe dreams fed by a profound and willful ignorance of the genocidal intentions of the Palestinians.

Fortunately, the Israelis are well aware of the stakes.

Yes this is true and abhorrent.

You do realize that Israel's ACTIONS are to the exact same effect-the total obliteration of the concept of Palestine.

Whether it is stealing land or killing children.

Perhaps there is a better way for BOTH people.

"Meaning they were preventing aid from getting in, meaning they ARE intentionally starving the Palestinians."

#61 | POSTED BY MADBOMBER

So, you're just going to ignore the fact that aid shipments increased IMMEDIATELY by four fold after Biden threatened to withhold arms to Israel.

You do realize that that is intentionally starving the Palestinians, right?

Amazing how your imagination conceives of the aid not helping, when there are plenty of NGOs who actually distribute the aid who say it is critical to receive.

Or is the plan to keep killing civilians and hope the rest of the civilians learn to tolerate and coexist peacefully with the country that is killing their civilians and occupying their land in the West Bank.

You tell us.

Koan: "How many children must Israel kill to feel safe?"

#62 | POSTED BY MADBOMBER

You're the one who insists Hamas be wiped out. I disagree that it is even feasible (we sort of learned that ourselves in Afghanistan and Iraq).

But, regardless, you acknowledge killing Hamas means killing children.

So, how many kids need to be killed to make Israel feel safe (that is YOUR conception mind you).

BTW I understand how targeting works and if kids are present one can, get this, choose not to send the bomb.

Or, of course, they can just let the kids starve to death. That won't result in more people seeing Hamas as a reasonable alternative.

It doesn't. Civilians are, by definition, not targets.

Hamas is the first and foremost war criminal (allegedly) when it comes to dead civilians. I don't often you or anyone else on Team TikTok bring that up.

#65 | POSTED BY MADBOMBER A

20:1 dead civilians to 1 dead hamas foot soldier

Sure there is.

Israel has its own country where they welcome people of varying faiths, with even a large minority (20%) of Muslim citizens.

Meanwhile, the Palestinians live in their own separate land under the Islamic theocracy they so very much desire and have repeatedly attempted to force upon Arab nations that gave them refuge (Egypt and Jordan).

So that way everyone is happy! But they're not, because the Palestinians want Israel destroyed and it really sticks in their craw that there are still Jews drawing breath. ("24% of Palestinians support a two-state solution, down from 59% in 2012" news.gallup.com)

So here's a way that it's better for one people. Israel grinds Hamas into the soil and keeps on doing so for the rest of eternity.

And if the Palestinians want things to improve for themselves, they suck it up, face the fact that they have lost and will continue losing forever, and learn to tolerate the neighboring existence of Jews. Or they go elsewhere and learn to stop offending nations that take it upon themselves to offer them kindness and a new home.

Because 10 million Jews with nuclear weapons are going nowhere. And they will never let Muslims become a majority of their democracy only to turn it into an Islamic theocracy to finish the Nazi genocide.

Totally different.

When Hamas occupies and otherwise protected entity, it loses its protection under the Geneva Conventions.

What is Israel is doing is no different than what the US and our western allies did in places like Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq...all the way back to Germany.

Out of thousands, I think we targeted one ISIS military base that was purpose-built to serve a military function. The rest were all schools, houses, mosques, churches, and hospitals that ISIS had taken over.

Maybe, but probably not so long as the rest of the world keeps humoring them and calling them "refugees," two, three, four generations down the line. Nowhere else does this happen. The rest of us have to move on with our lives when our nations are defeated. And Israel has trounced the Palestinians repeatedly (5 times?).

A summary: "This perpetual refugee status also allows some Palestinian-Arabs to hold onto an impossible notion of "returning" to Haifa or Jerusalem when it's not remotely feasible. The return of millions to an already well-populated area is not physically or economically possible. In short, UNRWA's categorizations keep Palestinian-Arabs stateless and in a cycle of perpetual poverty, being fed false hopes for outcomes that never will reach fruition."

#98 | Posted by censored at 2024-04-18 08:51 AM | Reply

#98 They won't reach fruition because of ethnic cleansing which is ILLEGAL under international law. That's why their claims are still valid.

All Israel has to do is return what they stole. Why is that a problem?

Stolen art treasures are returned decades later after Wars.

Land and real property are equally subject to return if illegally taken in war.

The Palestinians have a legitimate claim to return to their properties.

A far more legitimate claim then random Jews who stole it from them do.

Why are you such a Bigot?

Why do you support land theft and murder if it's Jews doing it?

Tribal thinking is the opposite of enlightened. It's primitive and self serving.

If the homes are being used to serve a military purpose, such as to store weapons or bed down combatants, then they are considered valid military targets under the Geneva Conventions.

Your issue is really with the combatants who, through their actions, turn those structures from protected entities into valid military targets.

I don't think that any court in any of those countries is going to demand that.
