Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News
Thursday, March 28, 2024

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled Wednesday that Pennsylvania may enforce state law requiring envelopes for mail-in ballots to be dated and include the voter's signature. In Pennsylvania State Conference of the NAACP v. Chapman, the plaintiff sued the then-acting secretary of the commonwealth in 2022 regarding Pennsylvania's decision to void mail-in ballots that are either missing a date on the outer return envelopes or have an incorrect date. Pennsylvania counties were ordered by a lower court following a Republican lawsuit in 2022 to reject undated or incorrectly dated mail-in ballots. The issue was then appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

"Hopefully everyone dates"

That could be a problem for some retort users.

Who cares what the voters want?

the state's plan to not count undated mail-in ballots (ballots that are timely cast and valid but missing a date on their outer return envelopes) www.democracydocket.com

This is what we've come to expect from the Papers, Please Party.

"Oh dear, it seems your paperwork was not in order. Even though we got the ballot in time, and the postmark shows a date, you didn't write the date on the envelope, so... No ballot for you!"

This is how Republicans disenfranchise eligible voters.

Ballots received three days late, with no date stamped, is one thing. Ballots rejected for "no date", received before election day is another.

In 2020, courts allowed undated ballots for three days following Election Day. IIRC, Pennsylvania had FOUR undated ballots during that time.

Every effort needs directed towards making elections honest snd accurate and removing any and all political bias. Dems appear to avoid this priority.

While your Orange Cult Leader just calls up State Election Officials and demands that they either find just enough votes for him to win or face imaginary legal consequences.

Your blindness is legendary.

Uhh Corky, how ------- hard is it to sign and date a ballot?

Are you familiar with the saying, "thick as a brick"?

You should be, as your pic is next to it's definition.

My comment was about #8's stupefying inability to see the criminal activity of your cult leader while commenting about voting.

I said not a word about ballots.

Of course, you are as much in denial about Trump's crimes as is Robson.

And worse, you are even more boring.

" how ------- hard is it to sign and date a ballot?

Not hard at all. In fact, probably 99.99% do it perfectly.

Now, can you do the math? Out of 160,000,000 votes cast, and 25% on average (before 2020s 43%) mail-in ...

How many invalidations are there, from legal voters? And more to the point ...

... Are there more or less invalidated ballots than all the voter fraud convictions in the last two decades?

Hint: one of those numbers is four times the other.

Don't ax' him to do math... he'll have to take his shoes off to count his toes.

Then who's gonna tie the laces back up for him?

I figured it would take him at least a month.

If it's so easy, what's the point in making people do it?

Waffles, where'd you go? There's a question on the table. And, if you can see it, a larger concept to discuss.

What say you?

Sorry DANFORTH, unlike you who was apparently hitting the bottle hard in the middle of the night and drunk posting. I was sleeping.

" unlike you who was apparently hitting the bottle hard in the middle of the night and drunk posting."

What a riot.

It's tax season, and I was working until about 5 AM this morning.

But since I have your attention, go ahead and address the question.

I owe you nothing dude, but why are Democrats so stupid as to not sign and date a mail in ballot? Why did it take an appeals court to correctly rule this?

Whatever your answer is for Republicans who are too stupid to do that, just go ahead and use that answer.

You're correct.

And we can all point and laugh at someone who can't understand macro numbers, so they keep missing the big picture.

Waffles excellent subject because it exposes the philosophy of the left which is to make it easy to vote and difficult to make elections honest and legal. If up to the left they want to make it easy for illegals, foreigners and dead people to vote without any verification of eligibility. They want a corrupt country where invaders control us.
