More from the article...

... Why it matters: Emmer argued Biden's remarks were a "hyper-partisan" campaign speech, telling Axios the president should not be invited to address Congress next year if he's elected to a second term.

What they're saying: The Minnesota Republican said he's bullish on former President Trump's odds of defeating Biden in November, but felt Biden's speech should have had a more unifying tone. ...

@#2 ... Crybaby Caucus ...

Yeah.

The article goes on to quote Rep Emmer as saying, "... 'That was about the most divisive State of the Union " I wouldn't extend him an invitation next year, if that's what we're going to get,' ... "

Perhaps Rep Emmer should ask fmr Pres Trump why he is campaigning upon divisive politics and how the divisiveness that fmr pres Trump has sown during his Presidency has resulted in Pres Biden's SOTU address.

@#4 ... Party Of Hurt Feelings. ...

Yeah, his comments do seem to have that whole ~why are you criticizing us~ vibe to them.

Just another --- snowflake who cannot stand being called out for everything he's doing.

Don't like being called an -----...then don't be an -----.

The party that can't even unite themselves on anything is crying about unity. Someone ask Emmer to name a single legislative agenda item of the GOP House that they've turned into law during the brief periods in which they've actually had a Speaker.

I think that the Democratic House majority next year will be glqd to invite President Biden.

The ash-bin of history can't come soon enough for them.

Yes.

This is so much more important than funding the government and supporting democracy in Ukraine.

Wow. Trump has neutered the GOP. Sporkfoot is the last man standing.

Emmer argued Biden's remarks were a "hyper-partisan" campaign speech,

Looks to me like Emmer missed Biden's SOTU speech and is simply reading out of the same playbook the GOP have been using since 2016.

Mainly, lie lie lie and expect the deplorable MAGA Trumpers to not have any clue about reality.

I wish Biden would make more STFU speeches.

And by 'divisive State of the Union Speech',
he means 'extremely successful speech'...

Of course the GOP doesn't want 'Knock'em Joe'
to show up, they want to keep pushing the
false narrative of 'Sleepy Joe', because
it is all that they've got...

Pearl clutching at any blowback to their delicate fee fees is a given. Whiner in chief approves.

Decisive, you don't say. Must be terrible to be cudgeled with your own political devices.

"Pearl clutching at any blowback ... "

Good luck with your "blowback" i.e. maga fueled temper tantrums i.e. revenge and retribution.

No problem; put up or shut up.
Of course, expect Dems in the future to not invite any future Republican president.

The party that remained stone faced and refused to clap for the notion of removing lead pipes from drinking water systems is bitching about unity?

As usual, the GOP causes an effect then whines as if they didn't cause it and as if they've been victimized.
