U.S. Charges Chinese National with Stealing AI Trade Secrets from Google

DOJ: A federal grand jury indicted Linwei Ding, aka Leon Ding, charging him with four counts of theft of trade secrets in connection with an alleged plan to steal from Google LLC (Google) proprietary information related to artificial intelligence (AI) technology ... "While we work to responsibly harness the benefits of AI, the Justice Department is on high alert to its risks, including global threats to our national security," said Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco. "As alleged in today's charges, the defendant stole from Google over 500 confidential files containing AI trade secrets, while covertly working for China-based companies seeking an edge in the AI technology race. The Justice Department will relentlessly pursue and hold accountable those who would siphon disruptive technologies - especially AI - for unlawful export."

Saw that this morning. This is some serious -----.
Google's proprietary A.I. algorithms and architecture.

As someone w a clearance for over 20 years, it still
shocks the hell out of me that American tech firms and
the military let Chinese (or Russian) born peeps anywhere
near our national secrets.

Simply put. The risk is too great to trust these individuals.

I'll never forget we had a chinese born person working for the U.S. Government when I was active duty. We were in a highly classified environment With real hella secrets, one secret in particular that I couldnt believe they let foreign born people around.

Even when I worked at the FBI, there were foreign born people working in the Hoffman Building in highly classified areas, it just didnt make sense to me.

Now they are coming across our southern border unchecked. I just dont understand why liberals are the way they are.

How is a Chinese born person working in the government with classified material the SAME AS Chinese people trying to enter the US?

Trump isn't in office. Biden isn't handing out classified material at the border. (Trump might be though)
