But republicans aren't racists

From the artcile: Robinson has a history of controversial statements. He has described Covid-19 as a "globalist" conspiracy to destroy Donald Trump. In 2021, he criticized efforts to teach LGBTQ+ issues in sex education, referring to transgender and homosexual people as "filth". He has also said people who are gay are equivalent to "what the cows leave behind" as well as "maggots" and "flies".
He implied at a campaign event last month that transgender women should be arrested if they use women's restrooms.
He once described the movie Black Panther as "created by an agnostic Jew and put to film by [a] satanic marxist". He then said it "was only created to pull the shekels out of your Schvartze pockets".
In 2014, he quoted Hitler on Facebook in a statement about racial pride. He defended the post in a speech last July, saying quoting the Nazi leader doesn't equate to supporting him.
"Because you quoted Hitler, you support Hitler," he said. "I guess every history book in America supports Hitler now. They all quote him."

I've heard North Carolina is a purple state?
If so, democrats shouldn't have a problem rallying support amongst the voters of North Carolina to prevent a person so fueled with anger, hate and ignorance from winning the governorship.

We have elected a Democrat as governor for the past two elections but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a chance of winning unfortunately. It will be pretty close.

A Nazi quoting, holocaust denying black man against a Jewish man. I guess that's progress for North Carolina?

This should be an embarrassment for the Republican establishment.
Republicans from 20 years ago would be aghast to know this is what their party represents.
Republicans from Eisenhower's era would have thrown these people in prison.

Republicans from 20 years ago will be voting for him along with the rest of their radicalized party.

...every history book in America...They all quote him.
Are Republicans this basically stupid, or are they the kind of stupid in that they think they're really smart and are running logical circles around the rest of us? Unless he was teaching a class on WWII, this has nothing to do with anything.

Bojangles will be sporting a Trump mug-shot T by the end of the month. A funnier turn of events would be to have this guy on a mug-shot T. Comedy gold and howls of anger at once. Ever seen a Carolina cracker love themselves a black guy? The do if he bows and scrapes to a certain fat orange criminal insurrectionist...

Robinson was convicted in the 1990s for writing bad checks. He's gone through bankruptcy several times. He recently paid off more than $1,000 of long overdue vehicle taxes " Robinson admitted the mistakes and says he's "bad at math" " and a recent WRAL report found that he still owes about $2,000 in rent to a landlord he rented from a decade ago.

This deranged deadbeat is perfect for the GQP.

Must be a sweetheart deal because a normal landlord would have garnished wages years ago.

Mark Robinson should be weary.
Many in his party would prefer to go back to the America where Black people couldn't vote as well.
Others in the GOP would prefer Black people return to where they came from.
It's 2024 and the GOP has turned over every rock to find the dumbest people to represent our states and our nation.

They try...
U.S. Appeals Court Strikes Down North Carolina's Voter ID Law (2016) www.npr.org
...The appeals court noted that the North Carolina Legislature "requested data on the use, by race, of a number of voting practices" -- then, data in hand, "enacted legislation that restricted voting and registration in five different ways, all of which disproportionately affected African Americans." The changes to the voting process "target African Americans with almost surgical precision," the circuit court wrote, and "impose cures for problems that did not exist." The appeals court suggested that the motivation was fundamentally political -- a Republican legislature attempting to secure its power by blocking votes from a population likely to vote for Democrats....

Sadly, sometimes they may succeed.

GEESH! ~~ It's North Carolina. Why do you think Boaz move there?
He doesn't know he's on Trump's "prison compound" list when White Nationalists becomes the ruler of the land.
I don't think bleaching his hair blonde and wearing blue contact lenses is going to help him.
