... Elon Musk on Wednesday announced that he will not be donating to either the Democratic or Republican candidates in the 2024 presidential election.

"Just to be super clear, I am not donating money to either candidate for US President," the Tesla boss wrote in an X post. Musk's declaration comes the day after The New York Times reported that he'd met Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend as the former president seeks to boost his campaign's financial firepower.

Speculation had been growing about whether Musk -- the world's second-richest man, commanding an estimated $200 million fortune -- would offer financial support to Trump. The SpaceX founder, who previously said he voted for Joe Biden in 2020, has recently launched a series of attacks on the Democrat's administration, going so far as to accuse officials of "treason" over the government's handling of illegal immigration.

March 9th for the defamation suit. He still hasn't paid the 80+ million on that one, he is stalling.

The interest on Trump's fraud case started to accrue on February 16 when Judge Engoron issued his summary judgment.

The 30 days to file an appeal started on January 23 when it was recorded in the clerks office.

Considering that March 23 (the end of the 30 days) is a Saturday, Trump has until March 25 to come up with the cash plus the interest. That's 19 more days.

Elon Musk may not be telling the truth when he said he won't give (or loan) Trump any money ~ considering what a firestorm that would create in the media.

Considering that there were several deep pocket GOP donors at that meeting, I would suspect they might have a plan to channel the money Trump needs through several sources.

The other alternative is that Trump left the meeting empty handed. We'll know on March 25.
