Ukraine has destroyed the newest patrol ship of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, the $65 million Sergei Kotov, and left pro-Kremlin war reporters sulking.

"The Sergei Kotov had been targeted in three previous attacks by Ukrainian forces before finally being taken out this time around. Noting that Russia had plenty of defenses in place to protect the ship, pro-war propagandist Alexander Kots said that "unfortunately, the enemy is also evolving."

"The crew fought heroically until the end. ... But this time it is a story without a happy ending," he wrote on social media.

"The ship Sergei Kotov' sunk," wrote former Vladimir Putin adviser Sergei Markov, calling it part of a "new type of war" in which "what matters most are the multitude of drones, space reconnaissance, and electronic warfare."

"This is where we need to overtake the West," he said."

They had one. The Russians captured it without much in the way of shots fired. At sea it would have been sunk quickly. What they're doing now with unmanned suicide boats is a lot more effective.

And the West is afraid of Vlad's cheap threats about nukes? At this point the general staff of the Russian military must have been formed from some guys found in a Moscow bar. Forget F-16s, give the Ukrainians about 50 A-10 planes. They will figure out how to fly them and use them in battle. The Russians will be at the negotiation table about two weeks hence...

To be fair, their Navy was really a glorified maritime patrol. Their biggest fighting vessel was an ancient Corvette - in dry dock when all this began.

Many reports that Putin is very ill....so would he "destroy human civilization as a parting gift to the world? And if he blew up that power plant Mother Russia would feel the effects of the radiation just as they did when Chernoble melted down. The world needs to figure out a way to kill Putin. Should be the Russian people that drag him out and hang him. IMHO!

I could be OK with Bidens plan if it was to let a modest couple hundred thousand of vetted non criminal foreign nationals and individuals come into the USA to assimilate. But not 10 million or more unvetted organized crime and criminals and 3rd world invaders come into our country and turn it into an uncivilized hell hole that many of the same ilk have already done to their and our country. They all need deported to their homeland on their own dime and not another dime of our USA welfare dollars given to them. Our welfare dollars should go only to USA citizens. In the CAS role its designed for, the comparable Su-25 is taking a beating. Russia lost 5 in just 3 days last October.
