... The judgment is the second this year against Trump after he was hit last month with an $83.3 million verdict in writer E. Jean Carroll's defamation case against him. The former president could also face four criminal trials this year as his presidential campaign barrels toward the November election, with the first set to begin in New York state court on March 25th.

New York Attorney General Letitia James had been seeking $370 million from Trump, his company and its top executives, including his sons Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, alleging "repeated and persistent fraud" that included falsifying business records and financial statements. James had argued those financial statements were at times exaggerated by as much as $2.2 billion. ...

Perhaps the most significant part of this ruling is banning Trump from getting loans from ANY bank chartered to do business in New York. That's every major bank any other U.S. or international banks chartered to do business but with no physical locations.

He'll have to come up with tens of millions just to post bonds if he appeals both cases.

Trump only has $60 million in equity in Trump Tower. Other Trump properties are also burdened by heavy debt.

Between E Jean Carroll and this, he's close to $500,000,000 in fines.

Under the media radar, the IRS is auditing Trump over $100,000,000 in possible taxes due.

Money is Trump's Achilles heel. He can't bluff his way out of coming up with boatloads of cash just to post bonds if he appeals. If he loses the appeal and has to come up with $500,000,000, his story will end as The Emperor Has No Clothes.

So Trump can suck the remaining (record low) RNC accounts dry.

It's because of him big donors quit donating to the RNC. That Kevin McCarthy, the GOP's top fundraiser, was fired means far, far less cash will flow to GOP congressional candidates this year.

The chickens are coming home to roost for both Trump and the Republican Party.

I might be mistaken but I think he either has to establish what is essentially an escrow with the full amount or get a bond for the amount which requires either a 10 or 20% cash deposit.

I believe I heard that for the 1st E Jean Carroll award he posted the entire $5million, which is usually unheard of, but COULD be an indication of an inability to get bonding, i.e. too much of a risk.

So, if cannot post $500million in cash and CANNOT get bonding. I believe that means his assets start getting seized. Not sure if that includes mar a lago as that is his residence. But this is not something any business owner wants to face

He needs folks like you to donate money so that he's eligible to appeal. And just because it gets appealed doesn't guarantee it'll be overturned. This will be a struggle and Trump is not happy.

Judge Engoron knocks Ivanka Trump: "She consistently denied recalling the contents of documentary evidence that confirmed that she actively participated in events, even after she was confronted with the evidence."

"The Court found her inconsistent recall, depending on whether she was questioned by OAG or the defense, suspect. In any event, what Ms. Trump cannot recall is memorialized in contemporaneous emails and documents; in the absence of her memory, the documents speak for themselves."

It may not be so hard to figure out where Trump is going to get the kind of money he needs:

Jarad just did some big sucking up to Saudi Crown Prince Mohannad bin Salman a few days ago, to wit:

"I think he's a visionary leader. I think what he's done in that region is transformational," Kushner continued. "I think he's done a lot of things that are in America's interest. And I think he's done a lot of things that have made the world a better place."
