Why donate money to a thief who steals it? For that matter, why support an historically avaricious thief for president? What is it in MAGA that makes it OK for people to steal them blind?

Well, y'see, he pisses off Libs, which is the only real policy the GQP admits aloud. So, its OK.

Well, that and Political Terrorism.

The RNC stopped paying Trump's legal bills when he declared for President. Now that he's running low on ready funds and facing millions in fines for fraud and millions more for compensatory payments to E. Jean Carroll, he's trying to do a reach-around to saddle the donations to the RNC with his debts.

Like I said before, everything Trump says or does has an ulterior motive.

Well that is not exactly a shocking statement.

The entire family is a criminal organization

It's clear now the reason Ronna was forced out was she told dementia Don the money was stopping.

#5 | Posted by Nixon at 2024-02-14 04:48 PM | Reply

This is incredibly convenient considering it's been established that Trump's campaign coffers, which has been used extensively for Trump's legal defenses, will be kaput in the next few months.

This is Trump's pivot. And the Republicans will fall right in line. What a fnkcin' shame.

Lara Trump: Every Single Penny RNC Has Will Go to Donald

I appreciate her honesty.

#7 | Posted by censored at 2024-02-14 05:20 PM | Reply

If every single penny goes to Donald Trump, that means Republicans on down tickets, state and federal, all across the country can't expect any financial support from the RNC.

That doesn't sound very smart. Perhaps Laura Trump's lack of practical political experience has resulted in a bit of hyperbole. It's more likely that Trump wants to have complete control of how donations to the RNC are being spent ~ with himself, of course, getting the lion's share, upon demand, to pay his legal judgments.

That sounds more reasonable, considering that Trump never uses his own money to pay for anything.

Also, it would give Trump a financial wedge to use against state governors and legislators to keep them in line to do his bidding (fall on the sword for him, so to speak) out of fear of losing the funding he, alone, controls.

Trump's control freak m.o. at work.

Why on earth would you think anyone in the Trump camp would be reasonable?

"If we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed.......and we will deserve it."

- Lindsay Graham.

Oh dear Lindsay, you nailed it.

He is destroying your entire party.

He loses elections for Senate and House.
He is bankrupting the party.
He is destroying the US reputation.
He is destroying alliances.
He is convincing your voters to commit felonies and end up in prison.

When you said this I thought you were over reacting, but you knew.

Then he showed you the file he has on you from Vlad and you fell in line to kiss his ass.

You're stained with bronzer now.

Enjoy it.

Dementia Don is the type of person who will burn everyone as he goes down. Get ready for what's in the file to become public knowledge.

Yes, I saw that. Jury selection for the "hush money" case.

The case I'm most interested is the Trump Org fraud case. Judge Engoron is expected to announce his decision this Friday. That's the case that could break Trump's financal back.

I'm not giving any more money to Trump--other candidates need it. When he started in 2015 Trump said that he is really, really rich. He needs to pay his own legal bills...

I'll probably send a actual check for $1 soon. Did that a few years ago and they have spent a fortune trying to extract more.

"Lara Trump: Every Single Penny RNC Has Will Go to Donald"

I mean, that's been Trump's MO all along. Me me me me me. Give me your M.O.N.E.Y.

RNC is practically broke. Small donations go right into the pockets of TFG. Big donors aren't donating to the RNC because of Trump's grifting, knowing a lot of it will just end up in his pocket.

Kevin McCarthy - Republican's best fundraiser - was fired by a bunch of Trump sycophants. Now GOP House races will have shortfalls.

Trump's done to the RNC and GOP House candidates exactly what led to the 6 times he's filed for bankruptcy.

Shhhh...let them go bankrupt giving their last dollar to Trump. It would just go to some thieving evangelist anyhow. A broken GOP is a good goal to have.

Yup.

And the sad part, fmr Pres Trump's love of his followers is fake. He just wants their adulation, with nothing in return.

Reminds me of this tune...

[Your Love Is Like] Nuclear Waste (1977)
www.youtube.com

Lyrics excerpt...

www.flashlyrics.com

...
I'd rather crawl through poison ivy
or grab high tensions wires
cut my legs off at the knees
or set myself on fire

Than have to feel your charms
closing in around me
or feel your slimy kisses covering my body

Your love is like a nuclear waste
your body is a danger to the human race
they should stamp contaminated right across your face
your love is like a nuclear waste

I'd rather stick my tongue into a vat
drink ex-lax all day long
or have to chew on razor blades
or--------- to king kong

Than have to be between the sheets with you for any time
or have to feel your scaly flesh moving onto mine
...

This is what oligarchy looks like.

And righty morons want to vote for it. They yearn for it.

@#19 ... They yearn for it. ...

That is an aspect of the GOP that I have difficulties understanding.

Why does the GOP seem to want to put an dictator in the Oval Office?

Can anyone explain that to me?

thx.

LAMP

That's easy. Oligarchs. They all expect to become fabulously wealthy.

In a dictatorship, all the money flows to the top. The closer they are to the dictator, the wealthier they become.

Obviously, power is the source of untold wealth. And wealth buys power.

Trump has been on that power trip his whole life. As his niece writes, "Too much is never enough."

@#21 ... Trump has been on that power trip his whole life. As his niece writes, "Too much is never enough." ...

Yeah, I do not disagree.

My concern is simple... how long after those who the populists vote into power take hold of government do does populists realize the error in their ways?

Hitler was elected.

Adolf Hitler's rise to power
en.wikipedia.org

... In retrospect, Hitler's rise to power was aided in part by his willingness to use violence in advancing his political objectives and to recruit party members willing to do the same.

Furthermore, Hitler went out of his way to seek financial support from wealthy businessmen, without whose support his assumption of power would have been impossible.[4] ...

Sound familiar?

"Sound familiar?"

Too many similarities to Trump's own rise to power to be a coincidence. If he didn't read the Hitler playbook, somebody else made a list of the cliff notes for him. BTW, If you didn't read YAV's post containing the CIA's analysis of Hitler's psychology, you missed a lot more than just similarities. You missed exact duplications, deed for deed and sometimes word for word.

As for Trump's plan to assume control of the RNC, I'm reminded of an antidote about a man who robbed a bank. When he was interrogated, he was asked 'Why." His answer was "Because that's where the money is." Trump operates on the same plane. He's going to need an inexhaustible source of money very soon as the billing hours for his defense begins to soar. He's defending himself in 10 different cases as we speak and the big ones have not even gone to trial yet.

A lot of down ticket Republicans are going to suffer a defeat for lack of funds. Not that it matters to Trump anyway. Once he establishes his autocracy (dictatorship), and eliminates individual state's rights, he won't need them anyway. Similar to the way Vladimir Putin continues to hold onto power. Past party affiliation won't mean a thing. Everybody will be forced to take the knee.

You ask how long will it take? It'll take a multi-pronged attack. There are many "firsts" on Trump's list. One of the most urgent, other than the immediate appointment of sycophants to cabinet and military positions, will be to introduce a new "Constitution" which is probably already being blue-lined on a drawing board in anticipation of winning in 2024. Speed will be paramount while the country is still reeling.

Dotard could care less if ANY other Gross Old Pedophile (GOP) candidate gets elected. He's running to stay out of prison, not to run the country. That's what his minions are doing with Project 2025, they plan to dismantle the government, flush out the career civil servants, and backfill the Executive Branch with MAGAts. He will fill his cabinet with temporarily appointed MAGAts who this time will not resist his basest desires, thus allowing him to seize power from Congress and ignore the courts. He plans a full-on coup, electing Rethigs won't matter when his Brownshirts seize Congress at gunpoint with the aid of complicit red state governors and their National Guard units, and I'm sure in some manner, Russia's assistance. This is a five-alarm fire people!!!

I've been saying the Oligarchs and too much power in the executive branch are the problem for many years.

What we both forgot to remember is the complete dismantling of the Bill of Rights.

Insecure dictators can ill afford to let an army of patriotic resistance get a foothold in his new empire. Punishment for resistance must be swift and violent to make the message abundantly clear.

That's not the end of it! Like the mafia, Trump is going to "bust out" the republican party. After he has bled the donors dry, he will take what ever money they have left, mortgage any real estate holdings they have, use their credit to borrow even more money and pay the people he puts in charge exorbitant salaries. After he has completely drained the republican party of all that it has, including its once held good name, he will walk away: a true vampire capitalist.

Republican Party: that is your future.

The pleas for donations went out within seconds of Judge Engoron's decision in the Trump Org fraud case. It was disguised as "election interference." A real tear jerker.

The man just can't stop himself from gaming the system. Or expecting other people to pay his bills.

He needs $355,000,000.00 and he needs it with the next 30 days. If his followers don't pony up for at least 20% of that to secure a bond for the balance, (no guarantee of that) The United State of America will fall into a pile of ashes without Donald Trump to guide it through harrowing times ahead at the mercy of the Biden Crime Family.

So, pony up Republican suckers. Dig deeper than you've ever dug before. Skip a mortgage payment on your house if you have to. The bank will understand. Cash in that college fund for your kids. They hate you anyway. Agree to automatic withdrawals ~ $100 ~~ $250 ~~ $500 ~~ $1000 ~~ or more.

Daddy needs you. Save your Country. Make America Great Again.
