The better team won in the end. IMO. And at the risk of inviting disbelief, I loudly predicted the Chiefs by 3. Only I predicted the final score would be 20-17, not 25-22. Kind of weird football score when you think about it. Mahomes is unique.

assault his coach call kelce an asshat for hitting his coach
Kelce was 100% in the right to be raging mad, the light bump was incidental. They ran it outside and the TE that got subed on to that side totally wiffed the block on the LB that made the strip. It's the Super Bowl. It's first and goal. Your all-pro TE should be on the field.
Mahomes was ----- all night. I know it will never happen, but the KC punter/special team should have been MVP. Bomb after bomb, especially in the first half when KC couldn't move the ball. He kept them in the game long enough to win it.
#49 | Posted by BluSky at 2024-02-12 05:22 AM | Reply
No player should be putting their hands on the head coach during a game. Kelce lost his mind.
Even the best offensive player in NFL history isn't on the field every play.

correct.
It could be that Kelsie's celebrity ( thank you taylor ) blew his head out of proportion. (probably a better way to phrase that..ha ha )
but later in the game #4....who was offsides on christmas day that led to loss....was going after Mahommes.
these sort of things always seem to come back to haunt a team later.
I hate to use the phrase but...." in the old days" if someone had done that to Landry, Ditka or "too tall" would have
set the culprit straight and Tom would have probably told him to stay in the locker room the 2nd half.
and bottom line it was a really bad look for the jerk wearing #87/ and the chiefs as a whole.

You know you're good when the team that's winning at the time has their heads down, towels over their heads, horrible looks on their faces, etc.....when they are winning......when the other team is still 50+ yards from the endzone and any mistake results in a 49ers victory.
Yet they looked like they were losing the game at that point..........that's how much confidence everyone had in the Chiefs at that point.
I told my son, who is 16....you could easily be older than me before you see something like this again.

putting their hands on the head coach during a game Hand to forearm. Settle down. It wasn't "assault". There is no intensity switch you can just flip on and off. Reid isn't complaining. It was a dumb play. KC pulled the best lead blocker on the team and then ran into his gap. You think a first ballot HoFer would have watched the LB blow by him like that? The coaches were playing chess when checkers and securing the points was required. Whatever Kelce said worked, he played every down afterwards, when the game went into squeaky bum time they consistently called his number on third down and he delivered setting up both touchdowns. After the game I'm sure there was a hug, a "my bad" and "I love you" because that's what men do. This is only a thing among the talking head Steven A. Smith goofball manufactured crisis circus and r/Swifty.
Tom would have probably told him to stay in the locker room the 2nd half Lose the game because a guy shouted after you made a really dumb decision. Yeah, that'll show him.
Anyone who thinks that Vegas doesn't know what they're doing is naive The NFL is almost always a bad bet. Super Bowl bets are particularly bad. The opening odds and line are usually bang-on to produce a 50/50 handle. Several hundred bookmakers can focus on just one game, they all exchange notes and get it right. Unless the line moves significantly because of dumb money it's hard to win or bet big with confidence.
