Lankford: I had a popular commentator that told me flat out, if you try to move a bill that solves the border crisis during this presidential year, I will do whatever I can to destroy you. Because I do not want you to solve this during the presidential election.

REPUBLICAN Senator James Lankford says that the new Border security bill would have STOPPED 800,000 entries in past four months alone.

"If this border emergency authority had been in place Oct. 1, instead of having right at 1 million people who have crossed the border ... it would have been 200,000, and that 200,000 would have been screened at a higher standard," Lankford said.
