Yeah, the Judge specifically limited the publication of the prosecution's witness list because it seems the Judge had concerns about it being leaked, and the witnesses then targeted by the Trump cult.

As I understand it, he ordered that Sunday evening only one of the prosecution witness' names be revealed to the fmr Pres Trump defense.

Interesting aspect of this...

Mr ------ is a witness for the prosecution.

Mr ------ is a witness for the prosecution.

The first witness usually is. Is it too soon to call him "Mushroom"?

@#3 ... The first witness usually is. Is it too soon to call him "Mushroom"? ...

I can't speak to that.

But I do note that Mr ------ looks to be a witness for the prosecution, and not the defense.

Hmmmm ....

I'd proffer that it may (will?) be some interesting cross-examination.

But, I gotta, ask...

Mr ------ as a witness for the prosecution and not the defense?

#5 | Posted by LampLighter at 2024-04-22 12:40 AM | Reply

Mr ------ as a witness for the prosecution

That would be for the immunity deal.

#6 | Posted by REDIAL at 2024-04-22 12:49 AM | Reply

@#6 ... That would be for the immunity deal. ...

That would be my first guess also.

But then I might ask... what was the deal?

How much did the prosecution have on Mr ------ in order to, ummm, encourage him to take the deal?

So many unknowns. So little time.

So many unknowns. So little time.

Lots of time. I'm sure Lewzer will need to delay the trial for at least six weeks due to the prosecution having a witness.

"How much did the prosecution have on Mr ------"

Conspiracy to affect the outcome of the election?

I'd say a lot.

I'd say a lot.

As much as the "Twitter Files"? :-)

"------, the former chairman of the National Enquirer's parent company"
Basically, they have a carnival roadie as their first witness.

If it weren't for hypocrisy, the left wouldn't have anything to stand on.

Basically, they have a carnival roadie as their first witness.

More like another one of Trump's co-cospirators. That's why he's testifying under an immunity agreement. He's only there because of his working relationship with Trump to commit the charged acts. Nothing's hypocritical about anything.

I'm sorry you feel accoutability is a left-right issue because it only confirms just how non-objective you are. Trump has the best defense money can buy so he's guaranteed a fair trial, and not a single witness against him in any of his trials are Democrats. They're all Republicans that Trump himself chose to associate with or hired to work for him.

They'll all put their hands on a bible and swear to tell the whole truth and let the chips fall where they may. Nothing left or hypocritical about that at all.

Holy Stub, Batman, this could mushroom out of control quickly.

I just love how lefthandterds continues to prop up Mango Mussolini as his avatar.
Is there no "low" at all, sir, at which Trump could possibly do something that would sour you?

"Basically, they have a carnival roadie as their first witness. "

Makes sense being as the former President was nothing but a carnival clown.

So we're not allowed to say the guy's name on here? More of the infamous Sc|_|nthorpe problem.

Anybody here actually under 18? Maybe it's time for the filters to go, rcade.

Oh well, guess we'll just have to call this guy Mr. Penis for now.

Carnival roadies are some of Trump's more elegant friends.

This guy is a slimeball extraordinaire.

I always love it when Trumpy Trumpsplains his crimes to us outside the court house.

When he is not under oath and can't be cross examined.

But I love much more watching him have to sit in a court all day.

It's very satisfying to see that he is not as above the law as he thought he was.

Karen McDougal is the best looking woman I've ever seen associated with Der Dotard. I guess it's true--money can rent love...

Kind of ironic the way it doesn't get scrubbed from the headline.

#20 | Posted by REDIAL at 2024-04-22 08:07 PM | Reply

McDougal claimed she fell in love with Orange Satan while he was using her. So, yes she is beautiful but obviously brainless, with appalling taste, is easily bought, obviously has no sense of self-worth, and defective olfactory senses.

PeterPeckerPickedaPeckofPickeledPeppers is the first witness because the prosecution is starting its case back in the beginning ~ and bring it forward chronically.

And also, that opening statement by Trump's lawyers was so amateurish that it appears to have been written by Donald Trump ~ which wouldn't surprise me. They do seem to be forced to do their job with a dictator as a client.

Only in America!

Judge Merchan punts again. Trump literally violated the gag order 10 times and nothing was done about it.

Our justice system is hot garbage.

Maybe he should stop I dunno breaking the law?

"Our justice system is hot garbage."

True, but in this case they are probably trying to avoid feral MAGAts going postal.

Trump has so many judges it's hard to keep track of them

#31 | POSTED BY FATBOOMBOOM

You talking about the judges he owns or it the number of judges that will preside over his many criminal trials?

#28 | POSTED BY ALEXANDRITE

Relax Grasshopper. The judge has not ruled on it yet. I am willing to bet he will be fined.

And implying that our justice system is broken is exactly what Trumpy wants you to believe.

He is trying to undermine our justice system and every other democratic institution for that matter. For his own personal benefit.

#35 | Posted by donnerboy at 2024-04-23 12:14 PM | Reply

And implying that our justice system is broken is exactly what Trumpy wants you to believe.

It is true. It's a two tiered system though trump is the beneficiary of the system not a victim.

You are I would already be in jail for his conduct. 10 violations of the gag order thus far. RIDICULOUS.

#36 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-04-23 12:28 PM | Reply

Here's what trump posted today after the gag order hearing:

"HIGHLY CONFLICTED, TO PUT IT MILDLY, JUDGE JUAN MERCHAN, HAS TAKEN AWAY MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO FREE SPEECH. EVERYBODY IS ALLOWED TO TALK AND LIE ABOUT ME,
BUT I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DEFEND MYSELF. THIS IS A KANGAROO COURT, AND THE JUDGE SHOULD RECUSE HIMSELF!"

violation #11. Anyone else would be in jail. We need a judge with testicular fortitude to slap trump down already.

#37 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-04-23 12:31 PM | Reply

"It is true. It's a two tiered system though trump is the beneficiary of the system not a victim."

It's also true that this is an unprecedented trial and it is not a "normal" trial.

It is the first criminal trial of a former President in American history.

It's also true that if you are I were sent to jail for violating a gag order (which is actually pretty rare in any case) no one riot. Or resort to violence or cause harm to others in our defense. The judge is in a very difficult and unusual position and so far I think he is handling it as well as can be expected, considering.

But I have to say that a potential $1000 fine per occurrence is not equivalent to 30 days in jail per occurrence.

#38 | Posted by donnerboy at 2024-04-23 12:41 PM | Reply

A 1000 dollar fine is laughable, true.

Trump should get one night in jail for the offenses. That might shut him up.

#39 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-04-23 01:44 PM | Reply

(which is actually pretty rare in any case)

Jury intimidation is a quick path to jail for us.

#40 | Posted by Alexandrite at 2024-04-23 01:45 PM | Reply

It's 1000 per incident Alexandrite (and while I agree its laughable)
if all the incidents to date are added up, Trump would probably owe
somewhere between 32-70k already...

Another example of "Psychological Projection" (accusing others of what you're actually doing):

------ testified they created "Fake News" to smear Ted Cruz, Rubio, and others.

#42 | Posted by AMERICANUNITY at 2024-04-23 04:37 PM | Reply

Another standout comment from ------ was calling Trump "a very eligible bachelor."

Trump's been married for almost 50 years to one woman or another.

The last two wives were women he was having affairs with while married to the previous wife.
