... Why it matters: Johnson has said the House will vote on aid to Israel this week, but not whether that will include Ukraine and Taiwan aid.

- - - Democrats have formed a unified front in demanding a vote on the Senate's $95 billion aid package to the three countries, as well as Gaza.

- - - Without Democratic votes, Johnson will likely struggle to pass a standalone Israel aid package.

Driving the news: House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) sent out a scathing "dear colleague" letter on Monday blasting Johnson for not holding a vote on the $95 billion package months after it passed the Senate.

- - - "Extreme MAGA Republicans are out of excuses. The Ukrainian people are out of time," Jeffries wrote, calling this week a "Churchill or Chamberlain moment."

- - - A Johnson spokesperson did not respond to a request for comment. ...

Yeah, such seems to be the situation in the House of late.

Toss Ukraine to Pres Putin, or support Democracy in Europe?

Johnson is a Putin Enabler, as Chamberlain was to Hitler.

Republicans know that if Putin pulls the plug on Russian support for Trump in their troll farms and hack factories, they and he are done.

@#4 ... Johnson is a Putin Enabler, ...

I'm not there yet.

But I would agree with a statement saying that Spkr Johnson acts as a pawn of a Pres Putin enabler.

Putin ain't Hitler, it's not 1938, you do know that don't you?

Sheesh, you guys are dumb. Putin wants to deNazify Ukraine, not invade Europe.

I thought Russia was pathetic and losing anyway.

Can you get your storyline straight or what?

I mean,is Russia Scary, or Sad?

C,Mon man get real.

Israel is the story now just forget about Ukraine,it doesn't matter much any more now that the Nazis have been Pacified in the Donbass.

Peace is coming to Europe.

The ME may be another story....

- Putin wants to deNazify Ukraine

Nazis were still only 2 percent of the last vote in Ukraine... which is at least as much as it was here.

You've gone completely braindead on this point.... the people in Europe who heard you claim this would laugh you out of town; Russian governments have been blaming Nazis for everything from the common cold to wars ever since Stalingrad. Read an ---- book for F's sake!

AND Putin is the biggest threat to Europe since Hitler, and there is no debating that... just ask Europe.

#6 You're such a BSer. Putin waged unprovoked attack upon Ukraine and you know it too. Why don't you go to Russia and fight for Putin if you love him so much. I hear that he needs soldiers badly.

"I'm not there yet."

Your choice. But keep in mind that the Kremlin has already announced that the Speaker is "Our Johnson" without a clue about America's slangy euphemisms.

Johnson just had another GOP member sign on to second the motion brought by space laser lady to remove him. Johnson's most likely and perhaps only path to save his speakership at this point is to do a deal with the dems to protect him. McCarthy could have done same but decided he'd rather accept the ignominious title of first ever House speaker to be removed. Johnson can't even earn that distinction at this point so he may as well do what's right and turn effective control of Congress over to the Dems for the rest of this session so things can actually get done to help the people of the nation.

Perhaps the so called "Freedom Caucus" should simply rebrand themselves to be the 'Russian Caucus'.

Johnson has experience working both sides.
