He's 75?
Why is he still on the Supreme Court?
We need mandatory retirement for him and all members of our government who are over the age of 70.

Bet republicans are hiding his corpse so democrats can't seat a new justice.

"Would be a shame if he had a massive heart attack and died."
Kinda, but it would be a real REAL shame if he had a heart attack, went into a coma, got brain damage, woke up, got back to the SC, and then started voting LIBERAL.

Roberts isn't saying much so it must be serious.
And guess what. The immunity case is coming before the Court on April 25 ~ just 10 days from now.
Could this be linked to why Trump asked to be excused from the hush money case on April 25 so he could attend the U.S. Supreme Court hearing?
Does Trump think his presence at the U.S. Supreme Court would be intimidating?

I wouldn't put it past Republicans to prop up a body double until after the election.

@#9 ... Roberts isn't saying much so it must be serious. ...
According to the article, Justice Thomas had been out previously...
... Thomas was hospitalized two years ago with an infection, causing him to miss several court sessions. He took part in the cases then, too. ...

Roberts had an explanation for why Thomas was absent the other time.
The problem this time seems to be that Roberts did not have an explanation for Thomas' absence.
So that leaves the question wide open for hanky-panky speculation.
And why did Trump think it was urgent for him to be there on April 25 when his immunity case is scheduled to be heard? (request denied by Judge Merchan)
Trump has never bothered to attend when any of his other cases were being decided by the U.S. Supreme Court.

He wanted to be able to whine that the judge was being mean to him.

You're probably right.
We're all going to be red in the face if Thomas turns up alive and healthy.
Maybe Roberts just thought it wasn't any of our business why Thomas was MIA on Monday.

Hopefully, POTUS will get another SCOTUS pick before November. Here's to her being a married 35-year-old lesbian firebrand.

I will not wish him dead and gone like some. But I can still be happy when he's gone!

If he were to retire or pass away before November, the argument for Sotomayor retiring would be even stronger. You could literally flip the balance of the court.

No such terminal luck. It appears, since he is presenting arguments today in court, that he took the day off to 'finish his homework'.

So?
You think I'm suggesting age of retirement for members of our government be limited to only republicans?
All members of the government, all branches and agencies, should have a mandatory retirement age of 70.
Meaning when you're running for office you must do so at an age so your term ends by the time you turn 70.
Presidential candidates must be 62 or younger. (8 years, no one term presidential candidates can apply. 66 for a first term is unacceptable.)
Senatorial candidates must be 64 or younger. (6 years)
Representatives 68. (2 year terms)
Judges and justices retire at 70.
Governors, mayors, city council ... everyone. 70 is the cut off.

My first thought was that wouldn't out it past the current GOP to try and hide his death to avoid losing a seat.
