Definitely better than tossing. I have two pair that we've used for 1 total and 2 partial solar eclipses.

My entire collection is being given to Trumpers to protect their eyes from his magnificent orange glow.
Also can be used as aviator glasses.

I am a strong believer in helping others by always donating usable stuff others may need.
