If you vote for Trump then you are expressing your support for putting multi-time felons who committed tax fraud against the US in a position of power.

Imagine if the NYT had twin side-by-side pictures, one titled, "Trump can't get a $$ to save Trump Tower" and the other saying, "Trump will rehire confessed money launderer Paul Manafort, who conspired with alleged Russian spy"?
Now ask why NYT is NOT reporting it that way?

Where are the Republicans who whined about Hunter Biden? Why aren't they complaining here? Manafort wasn't charged criminally for similar behavior and he got a pardon for his actual criminal behavior.

"In talks?" ~ LOL
That means, what bargaining chips does Trump have left have to sell? (classified top secret only)
And, how much money can Manafort squeeze out of his Russian contacts to bail Trump's campaign out of trouble.
And, can Manafort get his hands on a half billion dollars RIGHT NOW!

Why would an apparently broke Mr Manafort agree to work for candidate Trump for free?
Who is paying him?

LAMP
The simple answer is because Manafort is getting paid from the other end.
If Manafort gets dark money from one of his Russian clients to secure Trump's bond, that "client" is going to want something of great value in return and is paying Manafort to get it for them.
That's why I asked, what does Trump have left to sell?
Actually, it wouldn't surprise me if the deal has already been made. And Trump is waiting until the last minute on Friday to post the bond. It isn't hard to hide the identity of a donor if it goes through a PAC and the donor wants to remain anonymous.
Again, it's only connect-the-dots speculation. I know Manafort didn't just suddenly show because Trump needed an image maker to help him raise campaign money.
He only shows up when Trump needs some dirty double-dealing.

Manafort won't work for free. Whatever donor $$$ Manafort can round up has to happen by Monday, otherwise, Trump is broke.
As of 9:54 yesterday morning, Donny must raise $467,552,648.54 in order to prevent Letitia James from turning Trump Tower into the world's gaudiest homeless shelter.
