The Biden administration announced another package of military aid to Ukraine worth up to $300 million on Tuesday after months of warning there was no money left, with officials saying the new funding became available as a results of savings made in weapons contracts.

These arms deals are political actions not just about supporting Ukraine, but about frustrating Trump/Putinism.

Now, I wonder what would happen to the Ukrainian population after a surrender?

No, I don't have to wonder at all.

The Ukrainians are entitled as human beings to resist such a fate.

And, if the conventional war did collapse, they are entitled to the same partisan war against Russian occupiers as they waged against the Nazis in World War II.

It will be worse by several factors above what the Russians experienced in Afghanistan. And just more lives and money wasted for the same ending.

Give Putin Alaska, too. Why not, he's entitled to whatever he wants.

@#6 ... Give Putin Alaska, too. ...

Ya know, that thought has crossed my ind.

i.e., where do we stop giving Pres Putin the expansionism that he wants?

Alaska was once part of Russia, so, shouldn't we just cede it to hm?

"It's just mores lives and money wasted,to have the same ending."

Y'know, during WWII, the US provided the USSR with money and military equipment when they were invaded by a vile and brutal enemy.

Was that a waste of money as well?

LAMP

It's not a matter of ceding. The United States paid good money for that piece of wasteland ~ about 2 cents an acre if I recall. We own it fair and square. It's not the U.S. fault that Russian dim bulbs got snookered out of all that oil.

Not to mention complete control of the Bering Strait.

Russian elections are coming up. I wonder which of our political leaders will offer congratulations to Vlad upon his victory. For those watching at home I'll offer a hint--the leader is painted orange and his minions wear $40 clown hats they bought...

You are spot on. The Ukrainians made a record of what happened last time the Russians conquered them and the aftermath of WWII directly after they became an independent nation. I can't find a link to them but I know they are out there with subtitles. There is no doubt what the Russians would do AGAIN and perhaps even worse this time.

There is a good series from George Mason University available on YouTube. The Channel is "Russian and Eurasian Studies at Mason". Recommended watching for effet at a minimum.

Thank you for your surrender monkey input from someone who has never even considered putting his life on the line or serving his own country.

But Ukraine will probably never surrender as long as one Ukrainian is left standing and they have access to weapons.

How do I know this?

Because I never would. I'd rather die first than give my country up to an invader who destroyed my home and killed my relatives and friends. (Another good reason why Israel's plan is so flawed and doomed to failure ... once again )

Progressives and leftists and antifas promote partisan corruption, theft of freedom, and global war. Our mission as responsible Americans of integrity is to keep these zealots away from reigns of power.

The world, and the United States, will be a much better place if Putin does not have Ukraine.

The world, and the United States, will be a much better place without Trump/Putinists. Of which at least two appear above.
