WASHINGTON, D.C. " A stunning 57 percent of likely Democrat voters have told pollster Rasmussen Reports that Congress should refuse to certify the result of the 2024 election in the event of a Donald Trump victory, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal. The poll, sponsored by The National Pulse, asked a statistically representative 912 U.S. likely voters: "Some Democrats in Congress have said that if Trump wins this year's election, they will vote against certifying the election results because of Trump's role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots. Do you support or oppose Democrats refusing to certify the election results if Trump wins?"

Ooof looks like we're gonna need to label all the Democrats insurrectionists if this happens. But I'm sure MSNBC will find a to explain to everyone why it's (D)ifferent.

The Constitution forbids Trump from holding office and the Supreme Court just said it's up to Congress to enforce that.

Corky, the poll was conducted by Rasmussen. Reading comprehension isn't your strong suit is it?

- Rasmussen

That's even worse.... the Moonie Times pollsters.

The Associated Press has also addressed Rasmussen's methodology. In 2018, AP journalists noted that Rasmussen's telephone methodology systematically omits adults, many of them young people, without landlines. The AP also noted that Rasmussen does not provide details regarding its online-panel methodology.[108]

In an article for The Hill titled "Rasmussen Research has a pro-GOP bias", panelist discussed Rasmussen's practice of adjusting results by party identification. In addition to providing professional criticism from Ipsos, the article cited methodological concerns from Frank Newport of Gallup.[2]

Daily Poll Watch: Rasmussen polls are so biased that even Fox News has shunned them

For more than four years now, I've been arguing here that polls from Rasmussen Reports should be taken with a huge grain of salt.

Noted analyst Nate Silver put it best when he said this last year:

"My advice would be simply to disregard the Rasmussen Reports poll, and to view their work with extreme skepticism going forward."

What percentage of young people have a landline?

I mean there are critiques but this one is stupid.

The point, which you continue to miss as usual, is that it's not only adults that have landlines.

Of course, again as per usual, you address a minor point, not the major one of both the pollster and the article source being extremely biased.

538 drops Rasmussen Reports from its analysis

The poll aggregation and evaluation site 538, part of ABC News, dropped the right-wing polling firm Rasmussen Reports from inclusion in its polling averages and forecasts.

The decision comes after months of consideration that broke into public view in June. At that point, G. Elliott Morris, ABC News's editorial director of data analytics and 538 lead, presented Rasmussen with questions meant to evaluate its objectivity and methodology. Rasmussen published the letter on its website, triggering backlash against 538 in right-wing media " and by Nate Silver, the founder of what was then called FiveThirtyEight. No change was implemented.

As time passed, though, Rasmussen's inability to meet the standards set by 538 " and two dubious polls conducted for right-wing organizations " eventually led 538 to make the change this week.

Did they do a similar poll of Republicans asking them the same set of questions?
