I hadn't watched the video, it might be pointless. But Peterson has made a comment I agree with regarding religion.

To paraphrase, the lessons/stories of "religion" are more important than belief in God.

Last time the LDS missionaries paid us a visit, I started asking them about Mormon transhumanism, which these 19-year-old women of course had never heard of. It was the title of a book chapter I worked on.

On their next visit, one of the local poobahs accompanied them to spew the party line.

These visits are always fun for me. I liked showing the youngsters the Tibetan prayer wheel and the mezuzah at the entrance to the house. I like to think they left with a lot more questions than they came with.

What's missing from all these I hate JP posts is that while he has very good scholastic credentials, his day job is... Youtuber. 7.7 million subs.

In pursuit of clicks he steered into right wing planks for social issues. Starting going off against women's rights issues and "neo-marxism", then entered the trans debate and started calling gender affirming care "nazi medical experimentation" and offering unsolicited comments on Elliot Page. That got him kicked off Twitter, but not YT because views are views, only to be restored by Elon Musk.

I hadn't been keeping up with his, um, mental decline, or I may not have posted this particular link.

What I intended was a decent interview with Prof Lennox, although this one is long winded on JP's part, and actually that's what it is, as none of the weird stuff you mention was at all evident.
