Facebook may soon ask you to "upload a photo of yourself that clearly shows your face," to prove you're not a bot.

The company is using a new kind of captcha to verify whether a user is a real person. According to a screenshot of the identity test shared on Twitter on Tuesday and verified by Facebook, the prompt says: "Please upload a photo of yourself that clearly shows your face. We'll check it and then permanently delete it from our servers." read more


Joshua Cooper, a Tallahassee political consultant paid more than $500,000 by Florida Gov. Rick Scott to dig up dirt on Scott's enemies over the years, swears the photo above was simply a snapshot taken at an unfortunate angle. Cooper is adamant the photo absolutely does not show him holding an ice penis next to a mannequin's groin.

"It is not at all what it looks like," says Cooper, who spends his spare time as a semiprofessional barbecue chef and insists he was simply throwing away a large slab of ice while cooking in a Memphis competition. I never figured out what positraction was really supposed to do. If you took a highway turnaround at a high-speed, the ass-end would swing to the opposite side you where turning to to keep you straight. But you could also have fun with it: if you turned the steering wheel just a little and punched the gas from a starting position it peel out like hell. I've never had a car again that actually peeled out.
