Which means that it's an impeachment investigation. The smoke is clearing from an explosive Mueller investigation weekend of charges, chattering, and tweets. Before the next aftershock, it might be helpful to make three points about where things stand. In ascending order of importance, they are: 1.) There is a great deal of misinformation in the commentariat about how prosecutors build cases. 2.) For all practical purposes, the collusion probe is over. While the "counterintelligence" cover will continue to be exploited so that no jurisdictional limits are placed on Special Counsel Robert Mueller, this is now an obstruction investigation. 3.) That means it is, as it has always been, an impeachment investigation. read more

Six months into a special counsel's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election, White House aides and others in President Trump's close orbit are increasingly divided in their assessments of the expanding probe and how worried administration officials and campaign aides should be about their potential legal peril, according to numerous people familiar with the debate. Mueller's investigators are also still actively mapping out all the attempts by Russian nationals and people with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin's government to connect with and possibly infiltrate the Trump campaign. So far, at least nine people in Trump's orbit had contact with Russians during the campaign or the transition to the White House, according to Mueller's charging documents and interviews and records obtained by the Washington Post.

"I will give you one thing, I am biased about people trying to minimize or deflect to cover for serial sexual abusers because of the D or R after their name."
Did I miss you condemnation of Roy Moore? - #129 | Posted by Danni at 2017-11-30 02:02 PM

Firstly, I do condemn any sexual assault performed by Roy Moore. I am glad that the Republicans in the Senate have stated that they won't seat him or will expel him.
Secondly, I wasn't aware that he was 'trying to minimize or deflect to cover for serial sexual abusers'.
If I see someone deflecting or trying to minimize the actions of Moore, I'd be just as fervent in my dismissal of them and their opinions. Have you seen anyone deflecting or minimizing the actions of Moore?

The same is true of Trump. Have you seen anyone deflecting or minimizing the allegations of his sexual assaults? The accusers should be believed. They should have the opportunity to have their story heard, free of harassment and threats or reprisal. Their stories should be investigated, and any illegalities prosecuted. That's true with Trump, Moore, Weinstein, Franken, Conyers, CK, and anyone else who is accused of sexual misconduct. We don't dismiss accusers because they have historically voted D or R. We don't dismiss them because the timing of their accusations is unfortunate. We don't dismiss them because they make us feel uncomfortable about people we respect(ed).

Stop pretending Franken's accusations are 'posing for pictures'. Stop deflecting to other bad people. Stop calling the accusers liars because you don't like what they're saying.
