Could this really be the second coming of Jawsus?

I saw the Couric interview and thought that the SNL parody of it was pretty kind. Palin has never given a straight answer to anything put to her - even by the Republican kool-aid drinkers at her "unscripted" town hall meeting.

Someone here called her Caribou Barbie and that's pretty descriptive. Funny flag to whoever you were.

strangely enough I thought both of them were pretty much equal. I really think the best president/vp combo would be McCain/Obama. They should both ditch the lightweights they've got and run together.

Of course Obama and Biden never said they were against it unlike someone who doesn't know what she supports. Still, Palin/McCain are very agreeable - they'll agree with anything that seems publicly popular, at least until they're in the Oval Office, that is.

If you want four more years of economic and social destruction, vote McCain/Palin. Otherwise, vote responsibly and let Obama/Biden try to dig your country out of the pit Bush/Cheney threw it in.

I'm Generico and I approve this posting. Furthermore, I'm right. After all, I can see Washington from my window so I guess that makes me an expert on American politics.

Silly Americans, you put one governor from a podunk dump in charge of your country and now you want to do it again? If you haven't learned anything about your time served with George Jr. then maybe you deserve Palin to be your veep.

Btw, here in Canada we announced an election last week and will be over with it in less than a month. Why do you guys need two years? C'mon, like you only have two choices.How hard can it be?

Palin is the circus sideshow of this election. She's meant to distract everyone from the fact that the race is between Obama and McCain. We've seen that Obama is truly the freshest thing to come out of American politics since JFK and McCain (a candidate the Republicans called unbalanced during his 1980 run for the highchair) is really just a continuation of the policies that have destroyed the US in 8-short years.

Americans would be best to remember that they don't elect a VP, they elect a president - and only one candidate is truly presidential (and he's not the one who keeps hugging George Bush!).

If Palin doesn't have anything to hide then why is she hiding from the media?

The Republicans seem to distance themselves from inconvenient truths: they started the war in Iraq, they belong to the same party that supports George W. and Dick Cheney, Palin supported the bridge to nowhere, Palin sucked up earmarks like bacon fat, Palin's abstinence plan and avoidance of informing teens about the risks of sex resulted in the pregnancy of her minor daughter...

No wonder they won't answer any questions. They must be hoping the American public is stupid enough to just believe what the Republican Party is spoon-feeding them.

Come to think of it, isn't this the same thing George W. and Dick Cheney did during their campaigning? Didn't they surround themselves with a cadre of fellow travelers? They kept themselves surrounded by their elite, too, so no one would ask those uncomfortable questions.

It seems that McCain/Palin really are just the same Bush team, but this time the old guy wants to be president and the new guy is wearing a dress.

HillBillyJihad must have been using some HillBillyHeroin when he wrote that. There must be some disconnect going on to not realize that corporations and government are two different things - then again, maybe it's the Republican mindset at work that still believes government is just an extension of corporations.
