Here's one for you though - why don't Republicans drop opposition to the Law of the Sea treaty, and help the US secure offshore drilling rights in the Arctic Ocean? The US Navy WANTS the treaty, but Republicans block it at every turn. Meanwhile, Russia is "claiming" the North Pole.
