I lead a troop of scouts. I had a parent get offended that another leader and I were talking openly about guns and going to the range.

I'm not going to argue with Danni's trub #2, but it does bring up an important question. Is it possible for someone like Danni who is polar opposite (or bi-polar) of a conservative understand Conservatives? I personally don't understand socialist at all. Their concepts are alien to me. For me to say CNN or MSNBC is hurting socialism would be insane. It's not my cup of tea, but if that the way your mind works, enjoy.

Between Obama and the Republican candidates there is a common factor that scares the crap out of me. Executive Orders. There is no check or balance on this. It needs to be abolished.

Good reason to hijack this thread. My old Weber gas grill was great. About two years ago I lit it to burn off the grill. Unknown to me a raccoon had stolen the drip pan. I was on the phone and not really watching it because I had never really had any reason to in the past. 20 minutes later I found it and my deck on fire. The wheels were melted away along with a 5 gallon bucket that had been reduced to a puddle of plastic. It didn't take long to put it out and the grill went to the dump. Now I'm stuck with a crappy Char Broil from Home Depot.

The government dictating the profit a company can make is unprecedented. We are not talking about profit margin. I could see if they said you cannot sell for more than a % of the cost. But this is total profit. If they turned around and paid a cook on the rig a seven figure salary to avoid paying the tax you can bet they would start looking at controlling how much he is paid.
