Actually Steele is a fairly good guy. He's a reasonable republican that probably has little in common with Bush and Cheney and Palin. He mught actually work to restore the values once held high by the Republican Party. The reason he lost his race for Governor was because the guy before him, Bob Ehrlich, also a repub, was a dick and closer to the neocons.

Actaully, he had a very good approval rating as Gov, and is still well liked in MD. But MD politics go to one side, so he lost re-election to a toolbox Boy Mayor.

The Baltimore Sun also endorses a DEM for president, just like the last 50 years of the paper. Who gives a fuck.
