Jimmy Kimmel has had his fair share of fun with Mitt Romney during the campaign, but on Tuesday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" he really dug into one of the GOP candidate's more outrageous remarks.
You might remember last week when Romney said Americans are "the only people on earth" who put our hands over our hearts during the national anthem. But that's just not true.
After pointing out that Italy, Japan, Venezuela and many other countries also follow this tradition, Kimmel presented a new campaign ad for Romney that touts even more erroneous "facts" about America. For instance, did you know that only in this great nation do men pee standing up? God bless America.
With the Florida Republican presidential primary imminent and Newt Gingrich badly in need of a boost, former GOP candidate Herman Cain announced at an event Saturday night that he's "officially and enthusiastically" endorsing fellow Georgia politico Newt Gingrich in the Republican presidential nominating race.
"I had it in my heart and mind a long time," said Cain, who'd previously claimed that he wouldn't back anyone to prevent a split among his base. "Speaker Gingrich is a patriot. Speaker Gingrich is not afraid of bold ideas."
For a woman with three houses and sixteen grandkids, Ann Romney doesn't have very much help around the house, according to her 2010 tax return.
IRS forms released Tuesday by Mitt Romney's presidential campaign show that despite reporting income of $21.7 million, the couple paid only $20,603 in taxable wages for household help in 2010. This figure was divided among four women: Rosania Costa ($4,808), Kelli Harrison ($8,667), Susan Moore ($2,238) and Valerie Cravens Anae ($4,890).

A suburban Chicago police officer used a $132 speeding ticket he issued to track down a woman and ask her for a date, saying the least he could do for costing her so much money was to buy her dinner, a lawsuit filed by the woman alleges. Evangelina Paredes claims Stickney cop Chris Collins left this note on her windshield: "It's Chris ... that ugly bald Stickney cop who gave you that ticket. I know this may seem crazy and you're probably right, but truth is I have not stopped thinking about you since. I don't expect a girl as attractive as you to ... even go for a guy like me, but I'm taking a shot anyways."
An unsuccessful libertarian city council candidate in Carson, Calif., was investigated by the Secret Service after posting a comment on Facebook about assassinating President Barack Obama and his family. Jules Manson posted, "Assassinate the fucking nigger and his monkey children." Manson said on Facebook that three Secret Service agents showed up at his trailer home and asked him around 30 questions. He said the experience was "intimidating." read more
