"Al Jazeera condemned the move as "criminal".

Foreign journalists are banned from entering Gaza and Al Jazeera staff there have been some of the only reporters on the ground.

For years, Israeli officials have accused the network of anti-Israeli bias."

Didn't the IDF vet each and every Hamas employee, even the ones working with UNWRA, thus the Lavender/Gospel/Where's Daddy targeting proficiency?

Can't they just embed their antisemitism observer to divide them from within, or did that fail before and after they bombed their station in Gaza on live tv?

"Incitement" seems "excessive". Are they going to be arrested before or after their homes are burnt out?

Israel seems to believe that isolating itself from the rest of the world is in its best, long-term interest.

Al-Jazeera cannot be controlled by Israeli interests. Oftentimes, the truth, or even news that comes CLOSER to the truth, can appear as something strange and unbelievable when it has been suppressed for so long. I learned this during 2003 when Al Jazeera was the only outlet providing reasonably factual information regarding the Iraq invasion and the crimes committed therein.

I could reasonably foresee such action coming soon to capitol buildings and college campuses near you.

I thought Israel was a liberal democracy? I thought Israel was a free society?

How many other "facts" about Israel are BS?

Don't kid yourself.

If it were up to the republicans our military would be marching lockstep with IDF.

Also don't kid yourself.

Israel is an extension of American imperialism and we'll assist them anyway they want.

OpEd: From I Love You' to -------': How Joe Gave Up on Bibi
www.politico.com

... The last time Joe Biden and Benjamin Netanyahu got into a public spat as ugly as this one was 14 years ago. In March 2010, Biden traveled to Jerusalem to push President Barack Obama's ambitious peace plans on Netanyahu -- the prime minister whom the then-vice president, upon landing, called his "close, personal friend of over 33 years." Obama wanted a freeze on construction of Israeli settlements in the West Bank to avoid depriving the Palestinians of land for a future state as U.S. special envoy George Mitchell restarted Israeli-Palestinian negotiations.

But upon Biden's arrival, Netanyahu's government suddenly announced the construction of 1,600 new Israeli apartments in the disputed territory. This humiliated and enraged Biden, who retaliated by keeping his close personal friend "Bibi" waiting for an hour and a half at dinner that night. ...

So now what?

Our country is in Lockstep With Bibi the Butcher?

The Congress is passing, with Bipartisan support, laws designed to make even complaining about Israeli politics and crimes a criminal act.

Making the definition of "Anti-Semitism synonymous with any open criticism of Israel or Israeli policies.

Just Shut Up and pay your Taxes. I can't believe it's BiPartisan,to shield War Criminals from the legal and moral consequences of their actions.

Unity in Hegemony.

U.S. put a hold on an ammunition shipment to Israel

... The Biden administration last week put a hold on a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel, two Israeli officials told Axios. ...

They should stop all shipments of offensive weapons. No explanation given.

That was good on Biden's part. To give the Israeli's, no explanation.

He's way better than Trump on this and every issue.

But still kinda sucky and asskissy with Israel.

That needs to disappear.

Why do so many people who Worship the Second Amendment, Despise The First?

Why is it wrong to criticize *Israel?

Because Biden, and the democrats plans for the future of this nation are preferable than Trump and the Trumpublicans.

I may not get what I want from Biden.

But I know Trump's plans for the future of this nation will make millions upon millions of Americans miserable.

I'm not looking to roll back civil rights, see abortion federally banned, have millions of of people in America deported, reclassify LGBT people as second class citizens, watch public education get destroyed, witness the destruction of the federal government ...

I'm not optimistic Biden will win. He won in 2020 as a unified rejection of Trump.

But time fades the atrocities of the past and suddenly the fkkk Trump vote is diminished.

Because there's much, much more to this election than a referendum on Israel policy.

TRUTHY @ #27

"Because if ------- wins, it is likely the death of democracy in this country."

That's only part of it. Trump is just a tool. It's the GOP who is in bed with Russia to destroy democracy. They didn't let the 2020 election even slow them down. Neither will another loss in 2024.

As for all future fair elections, there won't be any if the GOP is allowed to get a foot in the door.

That's their plan.

I kinda agree. Except if we hold strictly to that premise ...

After this election (after Dictator Day) the U.S. will probably have to stop supporting the U.S.

AJ has always been one of my go-to news sources...outside SW Asia.

No one probably remembers Charlotte Bellis. She was an AJ reporter in Afghanistan when the Taliban took over. Qatar has rules against unmarried women, and she got knocked up by her Belgian partner. She was a New Zealand resident by birth, but due to COVID restrictions, NZ would not let her enter the country. So she went back to Kabul, where the Taliban promised to protect her. And they did until the NZ government-properly embarrassed as they should be-agreed to let her come home.

Charlotte was the cute chick following the fall of the Taliban-asking the hard questions and getting harassed. And she worked for AJ. I have no doubts that AJ has an agenda, or that the organization writ-large is biased (AJ radio is extremely anti-western), but I'd still favor them over most US new outlets.
