Donald Trump compared President Joe Biden's administration to the secret police force of Nazi Germany in remarks at a private, closed-door donor retreat on Saturday afternoon. The former president's comments came as he was talking about his legal troubles, attacking the prosecutors in the cases and bemoaning the recent indictments in Arizona of several of his former top aides, along with 11 so-called fake electors from the 2020 election. "These people are running a Gestapo administration," Trump said, according to audio of the luncheon provided to NBC News. "And it's the only thing they have. And it's the only way they're going to win in their opinion."

A 'health care' company's stock dove on Friday, shedding nearly $210 million in value in one day, after its CEO said he and other corporate leaders would be "eager" to hire anti-Israel protesters who've faced disciplinary measures for their campus disruption. The stock price of health-care company Hims & Hers, which offers products for erectile dysfunction, hair, and mental health for men in addition to a female line, fell 8 percent on Friday from its opening price of $12.24 to $11.26. A couple days before, Palestinian-American CEO Andrew Dudum encouraged college activists to continue causing mayhem for the anti-Israel cause. "Moral courage" College degree," Dudum tweeted Wednesday. "If you're currently protesting against the genocide of the Palestinian people & for your university's divestment from Israel, keep going. It's working. There are plenty of companies & CEOs eager to hire you, regardless of university discipline."

Despite an unprecedented rise in incidents of antisemitism nationwide, Elon Musk said Thursday he's reinstating the X account of Nazi-sympathizing broadcaster Nick Fuentes. "He will be reinstated, provided he does not violate the law," Musk said in response to pressure to bring back the bigoted pundit who was banned in 2021, briefly reinstated in 2023, then banished again. Musk said he finds it better to "have anti whatever out in the open" than to deny Fuentes a platform for hate speech. He's now counting on the X community to offset Fuentes' rhetoric with fact checks and counter narratives. Among the 25-year-old right-wing propagandist's multitude of off-color comments is his suggestion the Holocaust may be exaggerated. Fuentes " a rabid MAGA supporter " came to national prominence after he and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, were hosted by Donald Trump at Mar-a-Lago in November 2020.

Long Beach officials declared a public health emergency Thursday afternoon after one person died and nine others were hospitalized due to a tuberculosis outbreak in the city. The city's chief health officer, Dr. Anissa Davis, said the outbreak was localized to a single-room occupancy hotel, which health officials declined to identify. As of Monday, a total of 14 cases had been identified. The health department's tuberculosis control staff, however, has identified an additional 170 people who have likely been exposed. Those individuals are in the process or will be screened in one of several ways, including chest x-rays, blood and skin tests and symptom review, according to health officials. Davis said people staying at the hotel at the time or who could have otherwise been exposed have been or will be contacted. Public Health officials were unable to confirm the date of the first recorded case.

A group of survivors of the Hamas militant group's deadly Oct. 7 attack in Israel alleged in a federal lawsuit this week that two leading pro-Palestinian groups in the United States are a propaganda front working to recruit "uninformed, misguided, and impressionable college students to serve as foot soldiers for Hamas." The Israel/Hamas conflict is stimulating growing unrest across the nation. Although the conflict in Gaza is the current motivation for protest, unrest in major U.S. cities is a recurring dynamic. And while causes may differ, the formula employed to incite unrest follows a standard "playbook" that has proven effective dating back over three-quarters of a century.

A police officer who pulls over speeding black motorists"and only black motorists"isn't protecting "law and order." He's engaging in invidious discrimination. So too the university administrators who suddenly discover they are free speech absolutists only when student protesters call for the death of their Jewish classmates. In January, a junior at Columbia University, Khymani James, told a disciplinary committee at the school that Zionists "don't deserve to live." "Be grateful that I'm just not going out and murdering Zionists," he instructed them. Then, James headed back to campus, scot-free

"The recent coverage of college campuses reminded me of an important life lesson. I don't know about you, but the coverage started frustrating and angering me. So, I've been trying to abstain from the sensationalist headlines and rage porn saturating my newsfeed. Did you know that there are stories that don't involve pepper bullets, riots, antisemitism, Islamophobia, mass arrests, and violence? In fact, several colleges don't involve *any* police action whatsoever. Take a moment and read what's happening at Brown, Middlebury, and UVM. Rather than allow tensions to fester and escalate, some college administrations agreed to"gasp"meet with students and hear them out. Some colleges have ongoing discussions and negotiations, while others have reached agreements and ended the encampments." Read more

When Pat Tillman was killed in Afghanistan on April 22, 2004, the news stunned his fellow Americans. He was one of the most famous soldiers since Elvis Presley and perhaps the most famous American killed in combat since legendary war correspondent Ernie Pyle in World War II. For the past two decades, although many sought to relegate the saga to history and move on, Mary "Dannie" Tillman has led a fight for a complete account of what happened to her son, how the commanders made the decisions that she says led to his death, why the truth was manipulated and why those responsible were never held fully accountable for their actions.
