(CNNMoney)Russian efforts to meddle in American politics did not end at Facebook and Twitter. A CNN investigation of a Russian-linked account shows its tentacles extended to YouTube, Tumblr and even Pokémon Go...

In July 2016, this Tumblr account announced a contest encouraging readers to play Pokémon Go, the augmented reality game in which users go out into the real world and use their phones to find and "train" Pokémon characters.

Specifically, the Don't Shoot Us contest directed readers to go to find and train Pokémon near locations where alleged incidents of police brutality had taken place. Users were instructed to give their Pokémon names corresponding with those of the victims. A post promoting the contest showed a Pokémon named "Eric Garner," for the African-American man who died after being put in a chokehold by a New York Police Department officer.

Winners of the contest would receive Amazon gift cards, the announcement said.

If you had any doubt that left-wing groups that nominally defend free speech would become targets of illiberal campus protesters, look at what happened last week at the College of William & Mary.

Black Lives Matter protesters crashed the stage of an event titled "Students and the First Amendment" less than five minutes after the entrance of Virginia Claire Guthrie Gastañaga, executive director of the ACLU's Virginia affiliate and an alumna, The Flat Hat reports.

They not only chanted to prevent her from speaking, but they were offered the microphone to read from their statement, and then they drowned out students who tried to speak to Gastañaga after the aborted event.

MFW this is a real article

All the snark in the world isn't going to change the fact that your (liberals') virtue-signaling heroes are just empty, fake, plastic people. They just love to instruct us peons on the correct mode of existence, but gladly look the other way when their paycheck might be on the line. Ben Affleck in particular is reported to have helped cover up for that stain Weinstein. It's apparently been a bit of an open secret for awhile, as Seth MacFarlane cracked a joke about the female nominees not needing to pretend to find Weinstein attractive any more. That was back in 2013.

So, the question remains: why did all of these rich, powerful, and influential men and women choose to look the other way (at best) or aid and abet such a creep (at worst)? The rats are already scurrying to get off the sinking Weinstein ship and pretend as if he's some isolated case; however, that he was protected for so long certainly suggests others are complicit or guilty of the same or worse crimes.

Remember, Cory Feldman and Elijah Wood have been essentially saying that sexual exploitation of both male and female actors -- adults and children alike -- is a regular occurrence in hollyweird.
