I live in the area. I'm a lifelong liberal and individual rights advocate. I usually give law enforcement a little bit of slack when somebody rushes them or is violent, but this is simply murder. Usually it's the Sacramento Sheriff's deputies that are trigger happy, not the Sacramento police. These two officers, along with the Chief should resign. The two officers need to be prosecuted. The incident is tragic, could have been avoided or at least an attempt towards that end should have been made, and the officers emptying their clips into that kid's chest were killing him several times over. Whichever side of the Blue Line you are on, this is not acceptable. 20 rounds without some sort of mediation first is the worst kind of policing. Not to sound cornball, but it *is* police brutality. So far, we've had violent riots, freeways being shut down and many police vehicles trashed. There's probably a lot more to com.
One thing happened that made me feel a little better was at the first march that was held. The protestors were blocking a road and this Trumper in an SUV became really irritated. She rolled down her window and told them to move, she was not putting up with this and they had no right to block anything, especially her. So the marchers went over and smashed the windows on her SUV and then got out of the way so she could move on.
