The people who have the serious case of "sand-vag" over the "take a knee" protests continue to misplace the actual reason for the protest, as a disrespect to the Anthem, and by extension, America, rather than as a protest against police violent misbehavior. Those who feign offense due to their intentional disunderstanding of the nature of the protest, do so because it is easier to disunderstand the reason for the protest, than to acknowledge the issue which spawns the protest.
The Anthem is just a song. Forced faux patriotic displays have no place in commercially sponsored events. It is divisive. Negative reactions to such commercialization of political correctness and the implied mandatory reverence demanded is inappropriate in a free Country at public commercial events.
Knock off the forced faux patriotism.
I volunteered for, and happily spent 7 years of my life, in the service of my country during a hot shooting-war. At this point of my life, I dont feel the need to demonstrate my fealty to America when I go to a ball game. I dont need to be pressured into participating in a song and dance routine, to convince strangers I love my country. I have paid in advance for that.
