I have no idea if this restaurant owner was a Republican or a Democrat and I don't think it matters. I do know that genuine resentment against the public face (like Huckabee Sander and others) of the Trump administration is growing and likely to get worse as publicity often spurs others to act in kind.
I applaud this restaurant owner for quietly and passively taking steps to avoid a situation that threatened to disrupt his business and the right of his patrons (and future patrons) to expect a safe place to dine without they and their children getting dragged into the ugly world of Trump politics.
There's a lot of talk about "hate" on this thread without taking into account what other motivations might be behind this restaurant owners decision.
I'm only saying, try to look at it from both sides before we start to sling arrows.
