1. This action concerns Plaintiffs' rights to access public records, pursuant to Article I, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution, and Chapter 119 of the Florida Statutes (the "Public Records Act").
Plaintiffs seek (i) an immediate, emergency hearing of this matter pursuant to section 119.11, Florida Statutes; (ii) an Order from this Court declaring Defendants to be in breach of their constitutional and statutory duties to permit access to public records; and (iii) an Order from this Court compelling Defendants to provide Plaintiffs with access to those records.
Plaintiffs have a constitutional right to access public records. Article I, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution provides:
