I grew up in Thousand Oaks 60's 80's. The Gunsmoke set was still there early on, the Dallas Cowboys would train there in the summer and it wasn't too far from the beach. A great town. Last place I'd imagine something like this happening.
My nephew is a Venture County sheriff and was called to the scene last night. I've traded texted to make sure he's ok, and will call when things calm down.
This has got to stop. I like the idea of people having to be licensed and have it renewed like a driver's license. That way if a man buys a gun and then goes off the deep end years later, there's a chance of intervening. And getting a license would educate a lot of idiots out there how to handle a gun.
