The single biggest threat to Republicans' long-term viability is demographics.

It's not just the Nazi faction of the GOP that can see impending doom due to demographics. The whole right-wing gig is almost over.

This is why they don't mind lying, cheating and stealing to keep themselves sheltered. This is an existential threat to them and they are only going to get more hostile and more belligerent until they are shut down for good.

Them having to resort to racism, immature insults, nativism, support from foreign governments, and fear to turn out their supporters?

Its like Obama said...

"Why is it that the folks who won the last election are so mad all the time?" Obama joked, referencing President Trump's election in 2016.

"I mean, like, when I won the presidency, at least my side felt pretty good. It tells you something interesting, that even the folks in charge are still mad, because they're getting ginned up to be mad."

Demographic changes don't happen overnight. It takes a generation for them to affect politics (gotta wait for them to get old enough to vote).

The Republican party is becoming more and more crazy because they are becoming more and more desperate. That is why they are so angry even though they "won" the election. Because they have already lost the country. Even after winning the election, they still can't get anything real accomplished (other than tax cuts for their donors).

If the GOP runs out of enough racists to pander to....they'll simply find someone else to pander to.

and please...stop with this "why are they so angry" crap.

Do I really have to point out who the angriest people are on this site?

as if it's not 1000% obvious.......

"and please...stop with this "why are they so angry" crap."

If you are implying it is the Democrats I beg to differ with you. We don't chant "lock her up." We don't chant "Send them back!" The entire basis for the Trump campaign was ethnic resentment based on the premise that white men are today's victims.

I'm not implying anything.

This site is a 24/7 perpetual hate rally.

I still come here because of a few, rational souls who dwell here and can have some dialogue. But I have to block out the hatred from the growing number of pissed off folks.

"This site is a 24/7 perpetual hate rally. "

Seems like the entire nation is like that since Trump became President and he seems to be very much encouraging it. Inciting it. Mitch McConnell even calls himself "Grim Reaper."

No, the entire premise for the Trump campaign was the equivalent of an internet 4chan troll, and framing his opponents as tumblr trolls. Until you guys figure this out, he's going to keep running circles around you and trapping you into displaying the behavior he wants you to.

That's the best argument for grinding up these cons and spitting them out.

Of course I am angry. We lost the presidential election so we have to deal with crappy Republican governance (and the POS that they decided was the best the Republican party could do to lead the country).

When Obama (the Democrat) won, Republicans were angry and Democrats were happy. Since Trump (the Republican) won, I would expect the reverse.

But now everyone is angry. Can you explain that?

#10 | Posted by gtbritishskull at 2019-07-18 12:06 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 4

Yet Eberly and his whiner crew never post good stories about Trump, or explain what the bright side of any topic is.

Is that because there is no upside to Trump???!!!!

#11 | Posted by BruceBanner at 2019-07-18 12:12 PM | Reply | Newsworthy 1

When you hold on to anger, it inevitably leads to self-defeating behavior, which leads to people like Trump getting elected/reeclected. Trump understands this. The people he's manipulating do not. But go ahead and pat yourselves on the back while feeding the troll and making snide attacks against the racial/ethnic group which still makes up the largest percentage of the electorate.

----. I just noticed this was a Reinbot thread. Done here.

This entire article is just more proof that Dems care so much about race that they are keeping racism alive and propagating it throughout the country. Reps generally aren't any more or less racist than Dems, just like Dems generally aren't any more or less elitist than Reps. Dems want to believe so badly that Reps care about race that they are destroying race relations. Reps want everyone treated equally regardless of skin color. Dems want every group to be treated differently based on their hardships. Only one of those ideologies actually propagates racism and it isn't the ones who want every race to be treated equally. Now, there's nothing wrong with Dems wanting people with different hardships to be given preferential treatment based on those hardships, but it does serve to constantly remind everyone that races are different and should be treated equally. Not to mention, in order for Dems to conversate about race issues, they inherently have to illustrate the differences between races. That is inarguable logic; you can't prove something without that logic.

But instead of looking at it in a realistic way, Dems just continue to spout racism for the sole purpose of trying to justify their actions of treating all races differently. There is absolutely no way this can be contested. The only people who don't see it are the Dems who are so full of partisan hate that their objectivity is blind. The Reps may be ignoring the hardships of minorities but the Dems are the ones constantly telling the country that those hardships exist. Which would be a very good thing except, the worst part of all of this is that both sides, because of their hate, exaggerate their claims, proof, evidence, etc. just to try to make people hate the other side instead of concentrating on trying to get people to understand their point of view. So then, both sides' point of views are taken incorrectly. Thus, we have half the country calling the other half racist and half the country calling the other half snowflakes. Neither points of view are valid, but neither side does anything to change it...in fact, they just continue to use the same hatred to reinforce the other side's view of them.

Yes, look where we are.

The GOP incredibly unpopular with anyone under 50 and fewer Americans identifying themselves as Republicans than 20 years ago.

"Yes, look where we are. The GOP incredibly unpopular with anyone under 50 and fewer Americans identifying themselves as Republicans than 20 years ago."

So there's some former republicans who now identify as libertarian. But when it comes to casting their ballots they almost exclusively pull the lever for the GOP. As much as I'd like to believe it were true, I think rumors of the impending demise of the GOP are exaggerated.

"Bush shame" did that to some who were and still are too embarrassed to openly admit they supported Bush or Trump.

Dems aren't the ones chanting "send her back" and "jews will not replace us".

I can't wait for the demographics to change enough to kick all you racist apologists to the curb where you belong.

BTW, you only have to glance at the details behind Trump approval numbers to see his support is only coming from Republicans and whites over 54. That's why he's been stuck in the high 30's and low 40's his entire presidency.

Voters 18-54, who showed up in record numbers last year, can't stand Trump or Republicans.

So y'all honestly believe black and Hispanic voters will continue to be a Democratic voting block? Nothing is cretin in politics. When asked who would be better for the economy, a majority of both said the Republicans. Voters vote their pocket book.

Do you think black and Hispanic voters are going to suddenly start voting for a party that is becoming even more racist by the day?

Yeah DEMS care so much about race that the current DEM president launched his campaign with a racial attack on minorities.

That guy's a dem right?

Haven't you listened to your cult leader? That's all he's been crying about every day since 2015.

Poor white inherited-billionaires are oppressed and it's time for them to team up with the broke trailer park racists to fight back against all the poor minorities.
