Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

A 22-year-old woman from the Netherlands who suffers from a chronic bone disorder -- which has increased the thickness of her skull from 1.5cm to 5cm, causing reduced eyesight and severe headaches -- has had the top section of her skull removed and replaced with a 3D printed implant.

Amazing. Is it only the skull bones that won't stop growing? The article doesn't say. But we do know, without even asking, that under socialized medicine in Holland, her groundbreaking treatment was free.

I got pulled over one time for "We where looking for four guys in brown sedan", and one of my passenger looked liked like a Neanderthal. His skull was three times thicker than a humans. "How many times have you been arrested?", they asked him. None, but straight to jail.

He died of brain cancer about six months later before his civil case could come to trial.

I heard some dork unloaded a small caliber hand-gun into him once in an alleyway. "You ought not ave done that" he told him.

You have to look at the whole person. Even if it looks like a monster, that's not probable cause.

Unless it's an Elder Thing. That's probable cause. But shooting at it wont work anyway. Running also doesn't help. Know counter-spells.

#7 | Posted by HeliumRat at 2019-07-12 01:01 AM | Reply

Straight to jail for what? Civil trial for what?

Of course no medical procedure is free. But that doesn't change the fact that it was free to this ailing patient, which is how it should always be. No person born poor with a birth defect could ever afford proper health care.

Was this poor gal's skin grafted over the new skull?

You don't even recognize how you were socially engineered to make the decision, that in fact, they made for you.

"A necessary evil is an evil that someone believes must be done or accepted because it is necessary to achieve a better outcome -- especially because possible alternative courses of action or inaction are expected to be worse. It is the "lesser evil" in the lesser of two evils principle, which maintains that given two bad choices, the one that is least bad is the better choice." en.wikipedia.org

You reject the notion that when faced with two evils, the one that is least bad is the better choice?

"Don't vote for the lesser evil" - I didn't, and I never will; doing so ensures that you'll be given no other choice.

"You reject the notion..." - Yes. absolutely. Why would you want to continue enabling our broken and corrupt system of gov't to survive instead of real change?

You're argument is a false dilemma; to continue choosing some degree of evil because it's either/or. It's not.
You're buying into the premise that if you keep playing Three-card Monte, you'll eventually win. You won't.

The only way to Implement change, is to vote in a gov't whose platform is fundamental change.
That's only going to come through a change candidate, or a revolution. My only hope is that's it's peaceful.

What I won't do, is continue voting for the 'no change status quo' candidate, which continues harming the planet and it's inhabitants.
You seem to be arguing to simply slow the damage, push the inevitable down the road, a slow train to nowhere. I view that as inaction; complacency.

"You're argument is a false dilemma; to continue choosing some degree of evil because it's either/or. It's not."

Wrong.
Our political process is a two party system.
That means your choice is either/or.

"The only way to Implement change, is to vote in a gov't whose platform is fundamental change."

Nonsense. Change has been implemented incrementally throughout the entire history of our great nation.

"What I won't do, is continue voting for the 'no change status quo' candidate"

Is Trump a 'no change status quo' candidate?
Funny how you don't dare answer that.

Trump is changing it up to benefit his party, just as Obama did for his party, just as Bush did for his party, like Clinton made changes for his party.

You don't like the changes. I don't like the back and forth seesaw BS. None of it benefits the 99%. eventually people will tire of it and revolt.

I just hope that it's peaceful.

It can be avoided by moving to a one party system.
Perhaps that's what you really want.

#46 | Posted by LauraMohr at 2019-07-13 05:55 PM | Reply

Sure. You can buy an inkjet printer for like $100, but it might come with a "starter" ink cartridge that runs out after a few pages.

So then you have to go buy a new ink cartridge, and it's like $50. And they make it so you can't just refill it with ink, there's a chip in there which tells the printer "I'm used up, no more ink." (Or maybe they finally stopped doing that, but it was a big thing for a while.)

To bring it all home, 3-D printing uses basically the same technology as an inkjet printer.

You guys can see it as you like, but there's millions of people who either stayed home Nov 2016 or threw Trump a bone in protest. Either way it's the DNCs baby to deal with now.
