Alexander Acosta, the US labor secretary under fire for having granted Jeffrey Epstein immunity from federal prosecution in 2008, after the billionaire was investigated for having run a child sex trafficking ring, is proposing 80% funding cuts for the government agency that combats child sex trafficking.

Looks like he's willing to go all in on helping child sex traffickers.

The bureau's budget would fall from $68m last year to just $18.5m. The proposed reduction is so drastic that experts say it would effectively kill off many federal efforts to curb sex trafficking and put the lives of large numbers of children at risk.

There's an anti-sex trafficking constituency and I'll bet we know the names of some of the people on it.

Acosta is demonstrating that he has the bloated------------'s back.

The sad reality is that if Epstein was poor, black or both hed have been put to death already.

I'm not certain I understand the latter half, but yes, it appears that Epstein deliberately left evidence inside of a safe. That may implicate people in power, but we will never know for certain - the evidence may "disappear" very soon.

He knew at least two presidents personally. Those cretins are protected by these investigative agencies.

Believe it or not, Epstein is not that wealthy, compared to Bezos and Gates. True wealthy is measured in how much liquid assets a person has. That's why many "wealthy" people in 1929 were suddenly dirt poor because most of them were paper rich and not cash rich.

The FBI doesn't want Epstein for child sex trafficking; they want him for the information he has. Can you imagine how many people will fall from grace when Epstein starts talking? Oh marone! Right now, they have to keep him on a military base or underground where no one can reach him. You can rest assured Epstein has a price on his head. He doesn't have enough money to buy himself out of this. They have him on the hooks.

When this is done, many VIPs and celebrities will march straight to the pokey. However, Acosta isn't even big fish. He's just bait. This is bigger than taking down the mafia.

Intelligence asset not in the sense that he had intelligence that would be useful, intelligence asset in the sense that he is CIA.

I wouldn't expect Trump sycophants to have anything to say about this.

Their only concern is when sex trafficking is carried out by illegal immigrants.

Or when they can blame a democrat.

BENBUKKAKE

He'd been overseas and had no idea he'd be arrested upon landing at Teterboro in his private jet. Especially since he'd been off the hook - or so he thought - since Labor Secretary Acosta gave him the sweetheart deal of the century, without notifying his victims in violation of the Victims Rights Act.

You're still not getting it. He thought he was off the hook because he was running an international sex trafficking ring and blackmail operation on behalf of one or more countries intelligence agencies.

Ben,

Do you have any sources or substantiation for your claims regarding Epstein?

Can we get a "Paranoid/Conspiracy Theory" flag?

Must have been Epstein meeting with Hillary in the basement of that pizza parlor.

But Hillary Clinton ran a child sex traficing operation from the basement of a pizza parlor in Washington D.C.

It's so sad to see people never use any type of critical thinking. 80% is absurd, yes, but the article never gives any reasoning behind the cut. Is there another organization that is doing the same thing and they are normalizing duplicate efforts? What is the success of ILAB? Are they doing anything productive that can be proven, or are they just wasting funds? Etc.

The same people who just blow up without learning the details are the same people voting, which is proof positive of why our leaders are getting worse at their jobs.

news: "They are running child sex trafficking rings across the border"
Democrats : Meh...

news: "They are reopening a case from the Obama administration with sex traffiking case in which Mueller, Comey had knowledge of the sweetheart sex traffiking deal because someone may have committed professional misconduct in the manner in which the [Jeffrey] Epstein criminal matter was resolved."
Same Democrats : They are finally going to get Trump.

Mueller, Comey all tacitly approved the Epstein deal, to solely blame this on Acosta is hilarious.

1/23/2008: The FBI was directly involved in the DC meetings with the DOJ about Epstein.

news: "They are going to cut funding to combat child sex trafficking"
Same Democrats : OMG burn the dude at the stake.

I seriously don't know if DRLeft cares about "child sex trafficking" OR if Acosta is just the Witch of the day.

Why don't you find out rather than make an argument by implication, and then report back?
