Why are democrats so afraid of the answer?

Oh yeah, he Fixed the Mueller Report spin.

"Why are democrats so afraid of the answer?"

Why point your finger at Democrats? It was the (oh so very conservative) Supreme Court that threw a monkey wrench into Trump's (oh so very obvious) scheme to control the outcome of an election. (They said, it's not nice to lie to the Supreme Court.)

What's Trump afraid of? Hmmmmmmm?

How do you endorse the obvious attempts to ignore the SC decision on this matter. It's about the rule of law, apparently, Republicans don't believe in it any more. When winning becomes that important you know your leaders have lost their minds. Trump is so insistent on this issue for one reason and one reason only, he believes it will prevent millions of Hispanic citizens, who may or may not have an illegal alien living in their home from filling out a census form. It's just another method of voter suppression which the Republicans have developed over decades to insure their power over the majority. They may be totally immoral and horrible but they are good at it. I honestly don't know how any decent human being still identifies as a Republican. I honestly don't.

The new team will be lead by Saul Goodman and Jimmy McGill. The legal beagles will first try to convince a federal judge that the July 1 deadline to commence printing of census forms was just a guideline, a suggestion, an estimate. The law dogs will then state that the citizenship question MUST be on the census for national security reasons which cannot be disclosed in court, to that judge. Last, they will inform the court that President Dotard has declared a double-secret national security crisis and will postpone the census for the foreseeable future.

Their comedy routine done, Goodman/McGill will skedaddle from the courthouse and directly to National Airport, stating that as long as they are out of the District that the court cannot reconvene...

Looks like this speculation was right:

southpaw @nycsouthpaw

Is it possible DOJ needed to switch lawyers in the census case because they've had the existing team lying to the judges and justices for months about a drop-dead date for printing the census forms, among other things, and that is about to become undeniable? Just a theory.

Looks like this speculation was right: = could be right if your fictitious scenario proves to be prophetic.

I don't know what will happen but I do know what should happen. The lawyers bringing this case befor the court shouls be held immediately in comtempt of court. The Supreme Court ruled on this and these pukes are pretending that didn't happen, to jail for them. Only a totally sold out Supreme Court would allow this challenge without severe punishment to those pieces of filth. If a Supreme Court ruling isn't sufficient to decide an issue then what is?
It must be horrible for the Republicans who cheated Obama out of a court appointment but still can't have their way even with the ------- who went along with the cheating so that he could have the appointment himself. No decent human being would have accepted that appointment. But then decency is not a trait Republicans care about.

--Why are democrats so afraid of the answer?

They expect a return on the investment they've made in recruiting illegal immigrants.

@#9 ... recruiting illegal immigrants....

You seem to forget the large investment made in the mid-section of the Country made by employers (e.g., meat-packing industry) who use cheap illegal immigrant labor instead of hiring Americans.

Of course, that doesn't fit your views, so it is conveniently forgotten. :)

If you don't like how the constitution is written, then change it. But for now, it requires that every PERSON be counted.

We will fight your attempt to make the census less accurate.

Bullying and intimidation are what is expected from insecure people who know they cannot win on their merits (pretty much the definition of Conservatives for a while now). We know what you are doing, see through your lies, and will not let you corrupt our system for your personal gain.

Agreed. The Constitution says head count.
Nothing else.

As soon as you add a question beyond headcount, the Constitution doesnt prevent them.

The Supreme Court said no.

Why can't the GOP take no for an answer?

Maybe if they didn't have to lie to get what. Maybe if they keep trying to violate the constitution the lawyers will get worn out so they might someday get an answer they like.

Why are repubs so afraid of getting an accurate accounting of who's in the country?

Because it interferes with their need to maintain minority rule of the country (for white people). Reminds me of another country with the initials USA.

A new legal team?

That's nice, because the first team quit over ethical issues.

Barr calls the new team "elite." ~ LOL

Maybe probably means less ethical in Barr's DOJ.

#16 | Posted by Twinpac at 2019-07-08 10:14 PM | Reply

Well, the 11 o'clock news just reported that Barr's "A" team, who quit the census case en masse based on ethical issues, is being replaced by "F" Troop.

I'm sure the "F" team has some fine lawyers but they're being brought in from (oh, no) the Consumer Protection Agency and have no background, training or experience in matters that are plaguing the DOJ's census case.

So THAT's Barr's huge expectation and Trump's claim of "other options."

Winning!!!

If at first you don't succeed fire everyone and start over.

Too bad the clock is gonna run out on this one.

See?

dEMS can play the Delay and Obstruct game, too!

Only THEY are not delaying or obstructing justice.

THEY are delaying and Obstructing INJUSTICE.
