"Darroch also reportedly warned British officials that the president's "career could end in disgrace" and claimed without evidence in the Daily Mail report that Trump could have been in debt at some point to "dodgy Russians."

Pretty sure each Ambassador, from most every country, knows this.

How do you suppose Republicans are still in the dark about Trump's ineptitude and dysfunction?

UK ambassador to US called Trump 'inept,' 'incompetent' in memos: report

Trump's popularity amongst his base is a testament to the power of bigotry. Trump's base sees what the world sees: his ineptness, incompetence, lack of fitness for the job and threat to democratic institutions. Yet they continue to support him because of his bigotry.

President Lyndon B. Johnson once said, "If you can convince the lowest white man he's better than the best colored man, he won't notice you're picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he'll empty his pockets for you."

After Trump's 4th of July performance "inept" is too kind.

This is the Brits way of saying (ever so politely) that Donald Trump is an unsophisticated slob with the instincts of a sewer rat and doesn't even know which fork to use at a formal dinner party, probably wears brown shoes with a tuxedo and always stiffs somebody else with the check.

Message: Watch your back!

Very intuitive of those Brits.

TheHill.com didn't include all the adjectives. This article has a more complete list:

Britain's man in the US says Trump is 'inept': Leaked secret cables from ambassador say the President is 'uniquely dysfunctional and his career could end in disgrace'
www.dailymail.co.uk

...Britain's Ambassador to Washington has described Donald Trump as 'inept', 'insecure' and 'incompetent' in a series of explosive memos to Downing Street....

There's that "insecure" word. Pres Trump's insecurity has oft been cited as a reason for his narcissist behavior, i.e., he thinks he is not that good, so he has to constantly tell everyone just how great he is and how great everything he does is.

I also read that Sir Darroch is currently taking incoming as a result of this leak...

Not too many right wingers willing to comment on the substance of this story. What can they say? A high ranking diplomat sent private communications which included his frank assessment of current American leadership. What's he supposed to do? Lie and pretend everything is hunky dory in the White House?

On the other hand, leaked diplomatic communiques from Russia, North Korea, Turkey, The Phillipines and a host of other nations falling under the control of tyrants, all concluded that Trump is a stable genius.

This is the easiest, go-to answer for anything anti-Trump. Just bring up the conspiracy and ignore the facts. Trumpers are gone! Hook-line-and-sinker.

Not many alumni from state colleges among the Foreign Service Officer Corps, last time I did a tour through their profiles. From those who aren't in the job thanks to being appointed (ie, the politically well connected/"1% donor class"), the others are mostly from Georgetown, Harvard, and Brown. I found one from Penn State and another from Michigan State.*

Global diplomats are members of an elite club that negotiate on their behalf.

The fact that they are connected through elite western universities and fraternities is no coincidence.

Maybe we should realize that the UK is just an island of the coast of Europe. They are not much of a military power or an economic power. Seems the special relationship is a one way street.

And those are just the ones we can see. If he wins the 2020 we'll find out the hard way what else lies beneath. It's not going to be pretty.

Because fools don't always know they're fools until the hypnosis wears off. It's not a good feeling when they find out they've been bamboozled by a con-artist spoon-feeding them lies for the last two and a half years.

In fact, it's downright embarrassing.
