Trump will need another beautiful letter to assuage his hurt feelings. Meanwhile Kim Jung Un will keep all his nukes and nothing Trump can write in any letter, no matter how romantic, will change that...ever. Our media shouldn't bother us with reporting on the Trump/Un relationship, it's simply embarrassing and ridiculous.
Meanwhile, Iran made a deal with the U.S. in good faith which Trump cancelled and then thought they should still hold up their end of the agreement.
Trump is crazy.
The Iranians did exactly what any normal nation would do when the party that agreed to a deal reneged on the dea.

We know who you're rooting for, Danni.

It's not America.

What??? You mean all of that the other day was a meaningless dog and pony show?
I'm shocked!

@#6 ... What??? You mean all of that the other day was a meaningless dog and pony show? ...

Oh absolutely. Nothing more, nothing less.

However, Pres Moon Jae-in of South Korea got a significant increase in favorables in a recent poll as a result of the meeting.

... I'm shocked! ...

Don't be. This is the way these negotiations will be played out.

Leader Kim now knows how to get Pres Trump's attention, give him a grand stage with lots of cameras.

Pres Trump has eschewed the regular process for negotiating with North Korea, favoring instead a person-to-person style Whether or not it works remains to be seen.

However, in the short term, the current process has pulled Pres Trump back from the brink of war with North Korea.

That's A Good Thing.

If Kim Jong-un is smart he'll bone up on what happened to Muammar Gadaffi.

"What??? You mean all of that the other day was a meaningless dog and pony show?"

Of course, regardless of "beautiful letters" and steps accross athe DMZ, everyone knows Kim will never get rid of his nukes. This is just a meaningless show. Nothing has changed, N. Korea is just as unpredictable and just as dangerous as they were befor Trump met with Kim the first time.Trump's ego tells him he can make peace with Kim but his ego is not in charge of N. Korea nor Iran. Our foreign policies should not be run by his ridiculous ego.

Sorry Twin, Gadaffi didn't have nuclear weapons. Apples and atomic bombs.

#10 | Posted by danni at 2019-07-05 08:31 AM | Reply

I know, but Gadaffi had a nuclear weapons program which he refused to surrender. He eventually surrendered the program in response to U.S. demands but was killed by NATO forces a few years later.

I'm just saying that the demands made on Kim Jong-Un today might bring up memories of what happens to anti-American leaders who acquiesce to western demands ~ especially by a wacko like Donald Trump.

This country is in a bad way when announcements from Li'l Kim and NK seem more plausible than what our own president says...

>US 'hell-bent' on Hostility
Why would anyone believe otherwise, Orange Man Bad's recent gestures aside? The valuations of Raytheon, Northrop-Grumman, Boeing, and the rest demand war. All those bombs, rockets, and bullets won't fire themselves.

I was going to make a joke about how leftists are so opposed to anything Groginald Klompf is trying to do that they'd agitate for war because he's meeting with North Korea, but I see that Danni has gone ahead and robbed me of my punchline. If America's Next Top President could somehow cure cancer, you leftists would be out in the street the next day protesting in favor of malignant tumors. This one orange man has singlehandedly psychologically ruined you people. Sad!

Pres Trump back from the brink of war with North Korea.

Was it like when he backed from the brink of war with Iran.

It's remarkable how many wars he doesn't get into every day.

He should get a noble prize.

That's what happens when irresponsible playground bullies rattle sabers.

Someone knocks the chip off and Trump runs away like the prancing show pony he really is.

Not only that but he's burnt the bridges of our allies. You don't see Israel putting any skin in the game either, even though Trump is the sap they thought would do it for them.

It would take someone as stupid as Trump to get America get caught in the middle of that crossfire.

Compared to the last two presidents, Trump should get a Nobel Peace Prize.

They don't give Nobel Prizes to crazy people.

But don't give up. Trump might hold a ceremonial parade and give one to himself.
