This week's debates will be the first time millions of Americans meet the cast of Democrats trying to take out President Donald Trump. That's precisely what has party brass terrified.

Ladies and gentlemen, let the 46th Hunger Games begin – and may the odds be ever in your favor!

But hold on.

Some of you may be worried about the chaos. But this is no ordinary debate.

Each of you need something desperately. Our Attention. So of them will find a copy of the Constitution in a backpack marked with their district number, at the the debate stage, at dawn. Think hard about refusing to show up. For some of you, this will be your last chance.

And so, Greetings to the final contestants of the forty sixth Hunger Games. The earlier rules have been revoked. Closer examination of the rule book has disclosed that only one President may be allowed. So....Good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

DNC Bigwigs Fear Debates Will Devolve Into Horror Show

Yeah, someone might start arguing about the size of their junk.

They could call this debate "Night of the Living Dead." Fortunately, one of the zombies won't be able to jump out of the tv screen like as in The Ring.

#7 | Posted by nullifidian at 2019-06-25 01:57 PM | Reply

Perez is enforcing BigWig demands to keep climate change out of the debate, so far. Meanwhile, 17,000 acres is burning out of control from a lightning strike. This will provide a nice backdrop for Miami.

The party system ensures that unvetted candidates never have a chance in Presidential elections. Sanders gave them a fright as does the current crop of candidates. But that will require a real revolution in the streets.

FTA:

"Interviews with nearly 20 Democratic elected officials, party chiefs, labor leaders and operatives the past week revealed an air of foreboding verging on alarm that the debates will degenerate into a two-night, bare-knuckle brawl. With the divisive 2016 Democratic primary fresh in their minds and the current presidential candidates starting to take swipes at one another, the fear is that voters will be left with the impression of a bickering, small-minded opposition party."

The feeding frenzy will be fascinating to watch.

ANYBODY BUT BIDEN.

"But speaking to wealthy donors in New York, Biden appeared to suggest that his plan would not involve big tax hikes on the rich.

"I mean, we may not want to demonize anybody who has made money," he said. "The truth of the matter is, you all, you all know, you all know in your gut what has to be done. We can disagree in the margins but the truth of the matter is it's all within our wheelhouse and nobody has to be punished. No one's standard of living will change, nothing would fundamentally change."

Biden went on to say that the rich should not be blamed for income inequality, pleading to the donors, "I need you very badly."

"I hope if I win this nomination, I won't let you down. I promise you," he added."

The DNC and MSM will coordinate and obstruct Bernie Sanders again, imo. The Democratic (thanks JeffJ) party is running it's corporate candidates and has no intention on permitting a progressive agenda changing that. Why else would they permit 24 candidates? The Republicans have what, three? This is already a multi-ring circus of sad.

You'd think that after posting here for over ten years my political views wouldn't be such a mystery.

I've done anything but push for GOP tax cuts and corporate subsidies.

The easiest way to pay for a large portion of the stuff they want to give the populace is to repeal the Trump and Bush "tax cuts". Will never happen, though. They'd rather propose some new taxes on select portions of the populations that are easy to target. It's disingenuous.

#39, BS AmNun,

The Medicare for All bill from Sen. Bernie Sanders has 16 co-sponsors including 2020 Democrat candidates Kamala Harris, Julián Castro, Tulsi Gabbard, John Hickenlooper, Elizabeth Warren, Marianne Williamson and Andrew Yang. Six other candidates support some form of universal healthcare while distancing themselves from the " medicare for all" terminology.

Biden, Booker, Buttigieg, Castro, Gabbard, Gillibrand, Harris, Hickenlooper, Klobuchar, Messam, Moulton, O'Rourke, Swalwell, Warren and Yang all support some form of student tuition support and debt relief which was never a debate topic by any Democrat Presidential candidates until Sanders came along.

Once Sanders was the only clear cut choice to move America forward. Now the waters are being muddies with competing variations.

Point out the lie.

If you eliminate the unnecessary tax cuts for the rich, redistribute some of the money we spend subsidizing corporations and redistribute some of the money we spend on the military. We will have enough money to fund Medicare for all and public education through college.
