A former aide to Sen. Maggie Hassan (D-N.H.) was sentenced to four years in prison Wednesday for hacking Senate computers and releasing personal information online about five Republican senators out of anger spurred by their roles in the confirmation hearings for Justice Brett Kavanaugh. U.S. District Court Judge Thomas Hogan said the sentence for Jackson Cosko, 27, was needed to send a signal that criminal harassment driven by political motives would be punished severely in an era marked by extreme political polarization.

All need to remember the actions of the Left when they say that right is the one encouraging violence. Doxxing is a serious issue when we have so many mentally unstable people on the Left - but they love to do it. Make a video of 'Drunk Nancy' - you are getting doxxed.

Valarie Plame had not operated as a agent outside of the US in over 5 years when her cover was "blown". Her previous activity as an agent was common knowledge among her associates. If she had been active, the sap that exposed her would have gotten life.

That is not doxxing - that is blowing her cover. That said, I think that was actually worse. I think Richard Armitage, Karl Rove, and Scooter Libby all should have faced multiple years in jail for this. Just another example of the horrific Bush administration and how there are 2 systems of justice in the country.

#6 | Posted by snoofy, Like most investigated by the FBI he fell into a perjury trap. Be in a interrogation of a couple of days and see if you do not contradict yourself in any way. He got a conviction for lying to a government LEO. Note the FBI never said what the lie was or if it was intentional or consequential. All the FBI had to do was produce a inconsistency about anything.

What a sad time we live in when you can be prosecuted simply for not subscribing to blind faith republicanism.
