Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Former Vice President Joe Biden told affluent donors Tuesday that he wanted their support and -- perhaps unlike some other Democratic presidential candidates -- wouldn't be making them political targets because of their wealth.

Millionaires say they are more likely to vote for Joe Biden over Donald Trump in 2020 elections

Fully 53% of millionaire respondents said they would vote for Biden, compared with 39% for Trump, while 9% would be undecided. In a race between Trump and Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, wins 43% to Trump's 42%.

"Biden told about 100 well-dressed donors at the Carlyle Hotel on New York's Upper East Side, where the hors d'oeuvres included lobster, chicken satay and crudites."

That really says it all when it comes to Biden's sincerity on matters involving the poor, working, and middle class.

"I'm a union guy" Joe is the very image of corporate establishment shills.

I can't wait until the DNC, and their internet media consultatant, Corky, tells dem's, "he's our best shot".

Demonizing the rich in general is counter-productive, as some of the most effective liberal donors and politicians who promoted progressive policy were and are rich.

FDR, JFK, LBJ...

en.wikipedia.org

Wealth in and of itself is not evil, the love of wealth over everything else is... also counter-productive.

When Republicans became the Party of the Rich; decided to let the rich make the rules in return for donations and get their votes by cynically dividing the voters on social issues... issues they really could't give flying frak about... that's when they decided that traitors and criminals and imbeciles as President were a fine thing to have.

Here's how that happened, according to Republicans...

Almost no one is demonizing the rich. Smart people demonize plutocracy - RULE by the rich, accomplished via campaign donations AKA BRIBERY.

Wealth is not evil, but using your wealth to buy political influence to run the country for your own benefit IS evil, and that's exactly what these donors are doing with biden.

ANYONE BUT BIDEN.

"The Voting Rights Act of 1965, signed into law by President Lyndon B. First and MOST important is defeating Trump and his nationalist band of hooligans.

First things first! DEFEAT TRUMP! The rest will happen, just not as quickly as you'd like. Demographic changes will lead to a more progressive nation, but if Trump is reelected you can kiss a couple more SC seats goodbye and watch 4 more years of utter chaos as our democracy is further undermined.

And the further damage he and his band of unAmerican ----- are inflicting on our institutions will take DECADES to fix.

Most of us who aren't right wing morons want a more progressive nation. But if you help reelect Trump by sitting out or voting 3rd party, the wrongs Trump inflicts may never be righted.

They're both real liberals. Warren would have the same problem getting her agenda enacted that sanders would.

But either warren or sanders in the white house getting nothing done would be better than biden in the white house reaching across the aisle and getting a lot done for his donors on wall street.

In order to combat corruption, SpeakDude, you have to have a party that combats corruption; not participates in corruption.
A party that fights for the poor and working class, and follows through, instead of delivering crumbs and lip service.

I said awhile back, Bernie and Warren should team up as a ticket. They would harness all the energy that elected Obama.
With the difference being, I believe they would follow through.

I hope watching a real party argue about how to best lead the nation is amusing for the party that simply obediently lines up behind a mentally ill con man.

Yeah if only there were a party who would do something like create a bureau to protect consumers from wall street scams.

Oh wait. There is. The one you attack every day, while defending the party that is trying to destroy that agency.

I mock hysteria, hypocrisy, and double standards. Whining and throwing hissy fits is a losers strategy.
A winners strategy is to educate on progressive policy, how to pay for it, and how it benefits everyone.

Act like adults that are in control of their own emotions and press forward with vision, ideas, and proposals.
Instead, Dems and media are REACTIONARY. They react and play into everything Trump says or does. It's pathetic.

I don't want any candidate to "demonize the rich." I just want one who will raise their f*****g taxes to above 50%. If Biden is unwilling to come out strongly for that then he doesn't deserve to even call himself a Democrat. The Republicans added 2 trillion dollars to our debt so that rich people could put more money in overseas banks, that has to stop and be reversed, if Biden is unwilling to see that then f**k Biden.I do not want him as our nominee and I will work to make sure he isn't.

Democrats aren't going to make "the rich" pay 50% in taxes. They're going to make you pay 50%. You're going to love it. Huge citizen satisfaction comes from it.

It's not my fault the country has more morons than smart people.

That doesn't change the fact that your whole party has rolled over and given up all it's supposed priorities and principles to become the cult of a mentally ill con man.

Nope. Once again, you mock those on ONE SIDE. The side which agrees with more of your supposed values.
You overlook or defend those when it comes to republicans.

Your entire party's strategy comes down to lying to the public about what democrats will do.

I guess that's all you can do when your policies only help the rich.

Who's demanding perfection? I'm just demanding we dont do the same thing that lost last time. It's really not hard to understand. But for democrats clinging to the past, they really can't seem to get it into their heads.

I only care about changing one side, and winning back the democratic party from centrist, elitist, corporate neoliberals.

Republican enablers like Clintons, Pelosi, Feinstein, Biden, Obama and Corky/Bruce's ilk.

If we don't - third party is the only other route.

If you only cared about one side, you wouldnt be on russiagate threads repeating trump's talking points. How does that help progressivism in any way? If you fight against dems and defend repubs you aren't a progressive or a liberal. You're either a russian, a paid troll, or just a moron.

Third party isnt a route, it's a delusion.
Third party gave us dubya which gave us iraq, 6 trillion wasted, refugees flooding europe, brexit, and hundreds of thousands dead.

It's easy to take principled stands with other people's lives.

Would you vote third party if you were going to be the first life lost from the result?

Cool then trump will win again and everything you pretend to care about - the environment, social justice, corruption, big money influence, military spending will all get WORSE and people will suffer and die.

You dont think you'll be the one to suffer or die, but you're happy to condemn others to die for your principled stand.

All the more reason to #resist a corporate Dem leadership.

But if you want to be a Danni and fall in line saying, "nothing can be done", well then, nothing WILL be done.
They're going to keep throwing Obama's, Hillary's and Bidens at you as long as you vote for them.

If you want change, stop enabling them. That's my decision for me.

Read the rest of the thread. Or any thread on this site for the past 2 years. Have you not noticed me constantly yelling at sheep4trump for condemning others to die by refusing to vote for the lesser evil?

I want dems to win. The way to win is to look at what made you lose in the past AND NOT DO THAT AGAIN. I'm not obsessed with hillary, I'm obsessed with making dems LEARN from hillary. You seem to be obsessed with making sure dems learn NOTHING and re elect trump.
