Your disdain for India makes you seem petty and insecure. In fact, it reflects poorly on all people of Pakistani origin.

Put a tariff on IT consultants and H1B visas.

Now that I have answered that ridiculous person who thinks he's a "lawyer", here is the real deal...

This is not like the China-US trade war. It never will be.

China is the "enemy" and rival of the USA for SuperPower status.

The US has chosen India as the only country in the region that might counter China. It is bending over backwards to offer India all sorts of weapons for that purpose.

So this little fight is cosmetic. It will NEVER develop into the kind of trade war that the US is fighting against China. The US needs India strategically. It needs it bad.

Besides, India doesn't make much that can be targeted by imposing tariffs. It is not the "world's factory" like China is.

Storm in a teacup.... lentils.... LOL

Put a tariff on IT consultants and H1B visas.

THAT might hurt.

But it won't come to that.

Right now, the US is trying to persuade or rather twist India's arm to cancel their order of S-400 missile system from Russia, offering them THAAD instead.

If India cancels that order, their excellent relations with Russia will be damaged forever and India will be in the US camp for good.

Which is what the US wants.

Who will help us fight the Pakistani Muslim aggressor? Who will help us win Kashmir finally? Who will help us bribe Sachin Tendulkar back home?

"Trump hates brown people..."

That's pretty much what uneducated people cling to when they don't do any research or actually know why something is happening. Here is a hint...skin color has nothing to do with it. Politics...that has everything to do with it and it involves politics that include more than just the US and India. But, keep spreading racism. It ensures you have a way to get out of any logical argument.

That would be a great way to give more IT jobs to Americans.

Are you corporate spokesperson?

Why are democrats so invested in outsourcing jobs to cheap labor?

What happened to the blue-collar union democrats who supported American jobs??

"That would be a great way to give more IT jobs to Americans."

Except that part of the process for getting H-1B visa employees is demonstrating the lack of qualified domestic candidates.

There's no lack of domestic candidates, only a lack in desire to pay domestic rates.

Once again you demonstrate you have no idea what you are talking about. H1-b salaries are not "cheap labor". The average H1-b salary is about the same as the average IT worker salary and is about 75% higher than the average US salary.

I'm not interested in outsourcing jobs. I'm interesting in hiring qualified people for the available jobs and there is a dramatic shortage of qualified Americans for those available jobs. Job training is not enough. It would take a reinvention of our entire education system to meet the need. The current cap on the number of visas is a drag on the US economy. The number should be increased.
