Crazy, unhinged leftists need mindfulness more than anyone. This guy sounds like your typical, humorless ideologue who thinks he is "saving the world" when all he is doing is annoying the crap out of normal people.

I don't believe in meditation for meditations sake. I believe attempting to attain, one-mindfulness, and the ability to let emotions flow like a boat down a river. I believe that is MBSR, focus the mind on a some experience. I recall learning slow walking mindfulness.

But the argument that its the enemy of activism is not understanding the purpose of the technique.

The idea is to separate the emotional action and transform it into a wise-mind action, which could be activism. Its purpose is not to accept and just make you feel "happy", but to be more effective.
