That is what you wrote.
If true, then there are no legitimate asylum seekers.

Your conclusion is flawed. My neighborhood is filled with refugees, Snoofy. My city is filled with refugees.
My city celebrates and supports refugees from all over the world.
These are just three of the many organizations that work with and help settle refugees in my community.
"But before that, you were asking if refugees and asylum seekers had all their papers in order.
Which one was the canard, because they can't both be true."
Yes they can be both true, because they are. Hundreds of thousands of refugees have entered the US legally and sought asylum. I welcome them and support them. They're fleeing some of the worst war-torn countries in the world. But they need to enter the US legally.
The vast majority, not all of them, but the vast majority of the folks at the southern border are job seekers. If they were refugees, they'd end their journey as soon as they reached safety.
But say they want a job in America, Okay. That's fine. There are processes and procedures for that too. And as long as they follow those directives, they're welcome as well. But to flood the border, dash across, and attempt to disappear into the US, only to claim asylum when caught?
It's you presenting the canard. and the distortion.
