I only posted this to point out how Pakistan has not been able to move away from it's Commonwealth roots. The uniforms and colors... red coats... etc. LOL

I find that very interesting.

The embedded video is from a small town in Pak. Not of the British competition or any such.

Impressive, such incredible discipline. The guard are striking and exotic, the band, notsomuch:] I would incorporate more standard woodwinds and percussion. Those color guard prance like purebred machines, what a great show.

Another Pak Mil band/drill....

For some reason, American military style bands, prefer drums. Pakistani mil bands use bagpipes, mostly (as well as brass).

Anyway.. one of the best military marches ever (in my opinion)... British Grenadiers:

A family tradition growing up watching military tattoos every year at the Salem Armory, bagpipes and snares, that's it. It's paced slower than drill competitions, very methodological and hypnotic.

This is some band camp type stuff, but their dance routine looked good. Even if their mustaches were out of regs :P. My drill experience tops out at a simple present arms and parade the colors.
