Drudge Retort: The Other Side of the News

Hundreds of pages of government documents -- which special counsel Robert Mueller possessed since 2018 -- describe Kilimnik as a "sensitive" intelligence source for the U.S. State Department who informed on Ukrainian and Russian matters. The incomplete portrayal of Kilimnik is so important to Mueller's overall narrative that it is raised in the opening of his report. "The FBI assesses" Kilimnik "to have ties to Russian intelligence," Mueller's team wrote on Page 6, putting a sinister light on every contact Kilimnik had with Manafort, the former Trump campaign chairman. What it doesn't state is that Kilimnik was a "sensitive" intelligence source for State going back to at least 2013 while he was still working for Manafort, according to FBI and State Department memos I reviewed. Kilimnik was not just any run-of-the-mill source, either.

Not only was Kilimnik not tied to Russian Intelligence, he was an asset to US State Department and was working to strengthen Ukrainian ties to the EU.

His motives are literally the opposite of what Mueller told you they were.

Go ahead and put this "evidence" on ice...

"Kilimnik was one of the only people within the administration who was willing to talk to USEMB," referring to the U.S. Embassy, and he "provided information about the inner workings of Yanukovych's administration," Kasanof told the FBI agents.

Such ties to Russian intelligence!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

BY JOHN SOLOMON, OPINION CONTRIBUTOR

JOHN SOLOMON? LMAO!

John F. Solomon is an American media executive and political commentator. He is currently vice president of digital video and an opinion contributor for The Hill.[1] He was formerly employed as an executive and editor-in-chief at The Washington Times.[2] He has been accused repeatedly of biased reporting in favor of conservatives, and of repeatedly manufacturing faux scandals.[3][4][5][6]

In May 2018, the editor-in-chief of The Hill, announced that Solomon would become an "opinion contributor" at The Hill (he would remain executive vice president of digital video).[19] This came in the wake of reports that Solomon's colleagues at The Hill criticized Solomon's news reporting as lacking rigor and context.[19]

Paul McCleary, writing for the Columbia Journalism Review, has been critical of John Solomon's reporting.[3] In 2007, he wrote that Solomon had earned a reputation for hyping stories without solid foundation.[3]

In 2012, Mariah Blake, writing for the Columbia Journalism Review, wrote that Solomon "has a history of bending the truth to his storyline," and that he "was notorious for massaging facts to conjure phantom scandals."[4]
