Undersecretary Rank is exactly correct, these types of requests and actions are "alarmingly inappropriate" and should be investigated.

This could be really bad for Secretary Chao, regardless of her alleged "distance" from Foremost Group.

Just another cabinet member following Fat Nixon's footsteps and grifting money out of their office.

Drain the swamp indeed. That lie would be hilarious if it weren't so freaking sad.

How do you figure?

So long as she toes Trump's line he won't fire her.

So long as she toes Trump's line the base won't care one bit.

The loathsome party formerly known as the GOP has all but guaranteed that corruption will face no consequences within the new status quo.

How do you figure?

This is a potential legal problem for Chao, not a political one.

#14 | Posted by PinchALoaf, Your family's wealth and property are not a disqualification to serve in an appointed office. Hell, we had a Rockefeller appointed to VP. If Squeaky Fromm had of chambered a round in her .45, he would have become president. Malfeasance or corruption in office are crimes and require a trial and proof beyond a reasonable doubt to convict.
In any case, our relationship with China is not that reflective of a atmosphere that would encourage such activities. I thought the Damn Yankee had started a trade war with China, did he not?
